That seems to have been the ticket, thankyou for your prompt and educated response.
Try going to the settings in the left side of the assist browser and change the download server from Sourceforge to AAO25.com. Sourceforge tends to have system folders missing and just keeps trying to download over and over again.
hey, so I am trying to download, and after it completes, it asks me to download again, each time my harddrive looses more and more space. what's happening?

Indeed, Grimm, we do need more people playing again. Now the weather is getting better, people are out and about more. For a couple of weeks now there haven’t been more than 10 players playing, even on a Thursday night on the Barnyard. Sometimes as many as 25 players are logged in, but a low number actually playing, presumably they just like to watch the server list or something.... I think I’ll advertise Assist on Facebook again, try and get more people on! :)
