Feedback & Suggestions / New major version of 25Assist(9.0.0) - Preplanning stage has begun

We have now starting planning the next major release of the 25Assist Client.
One of the real big changes is that we will go from Realbasic 2011r1.1 ro Xojo2015(same product, different name), but it's still several major releases between the two version, so it might be some major work to get it done.
we can use this topic to post questions, and you uses can post requests.
First off:
I'm never been a Mac guy, so hopefully someone can tell me this:
Anyone know if this affects non-intel macs carbon/Cocoa, is that a Xojo thing, or is it a Mac Thing?

During this time the Auth server will be unavailable, and you will not be able to start/join any 25Assist Servers.

One drawback with the new headwear is that since we can only do these things when we change the player model to the ACU uniforms. So to be able to use the pumpkin head on the Winter maps, we've temporary re enabled ACU on the winter maps(Just for the weekend).

- Fixed code that would cause Intel Macs to present a message box that would cause problems.
- Fixed a sorting issue in the client, when sorting on columns with just numbers in them.

It seem that the problems that source forge had forced them to roll back the files like they were a long time ago. That means that the application you download right now is 8.18
Here is the 8.19 Manual download:

I'm unsure what other problems might occur since the rolled back the files, and it's unknown if they will roll forward or not, all I know is that we don't have access at the moment to upload new files to sourceforge

Version 8.19 has been released to all servers/clients, they will auto update within an hour. Manually restart to force a update.
If your server client hasn't updated within an hour of this message, verify that it uses SourceForge as a download server(It the default) You can ignore this now, I was able to upload the new files to the backup as well.

As a temporary fix for the Auth issues, we released a test version of the current version(8.18)
At first there was a issue with 25Assist thinking that it didn't have write access to it's own folder.
There is now a updated version that has the error disabled, and hopefully it will allow us to work toward the goal of releasing the next "real" version as soon as possible.
Use this topic for reporting issues toy are having with the test version of 8.18.
