Wrong. AA2 needs to remain AA2. If you want to evolve go play another game.
As Spank said, we need to build a strong core base of AA2 fans, that's why it
needs to return to be what it was originally when it was hugely popular.

I agree with this except when it comes to maps and glitch fixes. I would love to remove Bridge and all the other old whore maps but I know the majority of players wouldn't like that plus, my desire to keep the game original outweighs my dislike for old maps :)

I think the game should be developed further. We should do everything we can to advance it as long as it means keeping gameplay and core values original. I think the next step is to remove silly maps like Teh Yetis Lair, PBall, PoolDay and I think there's a couple others. Keep the custom maps that have a realistic feel.

No need to remove, just untrack them. We should divide all maps into three categories :

- Core Maps which reflect the true spirit of the game (Tracked)
- Training maps who are helpful to develop specific / tactical skills (Tracked)
- The fun / modded maps (Untracked)
First time hot knifing hash oil, sent me to the moon, zombified. Not a whole lot of fun.

I agree with those map removals (even though my opinon doesn't mean crap) but I would like to see these maps kept in the game.

Breakout
Monkey Island
SF Office Assault
Bridge Construction (just small edits to ad small amounts of fog)

that's about all my input for now :)

While I don't mind the decision, it would have been nice to at least keep the mapvote add-on as part of the server.  It often is useful when only one or two people are on the server, they can try to change maps in order to entice others in...

I guess it's back to map rotation...

As for weapon mods, I'm ambivalent, but agree that there was a clear need to either restrict them or eliminate them...

I can confirm the next update will have OpenSlots mod and MapVote mod included with assist with honor. I hope this helps our mod loving friends. Should be out in a few days.

Untrack them, simple as it is. In 2.8.5 Poolday was used in order to train CQB aiming. No need to track it since the kph is way too high there compared to other maps.

The idea saying we lost AA players because of modded server is not true in my opinion. The main reason is we became older & there a lots of good game outside there. MW, BF, etc. They wanted a fresh & new gameplay. Kids these day will looking for a new games & we now just looking for old AA players (Retired). I believe this game is going to be end someday, maybe in 5 years. Enjoy it while its last...

I will not arguing about these new update. Because i've choice to play on any server & i just play this game for fun, not even thinking of K/D when playing. I've thanked jonnym for this 2.5 assist long time ago before this forum existed. Maybe (natescomp) or something like that.

In my opinion remarks the RED icon on server name should be deleted. Its kind like a warning ' Don't go there, its dangerous or bad places'. Be fair, no double standard.
