Server starting problem
« on: Wednesday, February 19, 2014, 17:40:23 PM »
Hey guys, im trying to start my own server since three days without success and it drives me nuts. Im pretty sure that i installed the assist server manager correctly. When i launch the server and try to join it, only the start screen of the game is shown up. If i try it a second time it shows the loading screen of the level but then it stucks and after a while i get kicked off the server and it goes back to game menue. After this my server is shown as 'offline' in the server list and i cant join anymore. Sometimes the level starts as expected but then the PB tries to update successless and after a while i get kicked off again. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Don't Mix the Assist Server Files and Assist Client files
Make sure to start Assist Server Manager from a completely different location than where your client files are.

Hmmmm, i never mixed it. What do you mean by  'completely different location'? Even if i start server and client from different drives it doesn't work. Guess that's not the problem.
Any other idea?

If it as you say, that the server don't start, it will not be that long.
If you run into the problem that the file is too long, just post the last 200 rows or something.

So server starts as it should, but you get kicked when trying to join your own server.
This is firewall related.

Either change the port from 1716 to 1736 and make sure all ports are forwarded that needs to be forwarded. If you change it make sure you add the new port and port+1(1736 and 1737) instead of default(1716-1717)

Yeah, i know this post and i already tried this. But it still doesn't work. I got this in the log file:

25AssistSM: No Master Query Sent - DNS has not yet resolved for MASTER2.EVENBALANCE.COM

Whatever it means.

OK, i forwarded the required ports and changed default ports to 1736,1737 too. But nothing changed. A friend of mine joined the server successfully but he was kicked after 10 sec.. I'm guessing it's a punk buster problem. Any ideas how to fix this?

Just to be safe try disabling the firewall completely temporarily and then see if the server will let you stay on and play.

If you didn't already tried it, delete server thought Assist Server Manager, and create a new fresh copy.
