sorry to disturb you again 
can you tell me which part of the communication is not doing well ?
all port are open, firewall disabled and no port blocker active.
i can see the server up in aa25assist, with honors and punkbuster active, but on ping, i have a "x".
the server starts and says no problem at all until 2 mins later it crashes.
one thing then is strange and i can follow therefor a solution.

the firewall was switched off, the router ports are all opend as written in spankys post.

can someone tell me whats wrong with this message, just trying to run a server from my desktop

bro, if you are searching the logfile:
go system-dir - search for aa25.log
be aware, everytime you stop/start server, the log will be cleared.
so make a script, thats copies the logs away, then reduce them to one file with no duplicate entries, then make a script witch finds players login and logout - write newfile and
here you are. you can see the players on your servers with incoming and outgoing time.
the only thigh i know util now to get informations out of that bitch.
no more informations like in 2.8.5 can be taken out - and jonny will not expand the log-information. but if you ask him again like i did, maybe ...

yes, do not ban players for just a simple hack. we realy have not that much players...
local admins can manage them for a while. only if some one is doing realy hard hacking, we should let you know for a global ban.
and yes, i realy think that more players from bf3 and aa3 are often joining aa25assist (they will not coming back, but they will just join aa2 again). and for statistic reasons, watch players on sunday evening european time - there are the most then.
and by the way, i realy enjoy playing aa2 with aa2assist. well done jonny - thanks!
