AA Support / Re: "Reduce Mouse Lag" setting in User.ini - where art thou?
« on: Thursday, January 16, 2014, 23:06:00 PM »
If i select the "reduce mouselag" option in the userface of ArmyOps.exe (opened in windows using administrator rights) it only stays selected until i close the application. next restart it's not there anymore and i have to re-select it.

as far as i can see, the settings you've posted in the user.ini are just the standart sensitivity etc settings. inversion, smoothing, sensitivity, samplingtime (which i heard you should never manipulate unless you want a ban --> maybe this is reduce mouselag???), acceleration and doubleclicktime. i think it is hidden somewhere in the user.ini under another name than just "reduce mouselag".

what i want is the user.ini file to force my ArmyOps.exe to always select "reduce mouselag", because i can (for some reason) not simply make it stay selected manually.

it's a good soundcard but the eq-mode which claims to exaggerate footstep sounds is not worth using it. it just makes the game sound like you have a nasty ear infection. just play. if you're bad, this driver will not make you pro. if you are good, it will still not make you pro.

yeah, but not on all fog maps, that's why im wondering, otherwise it would be clear.

and no, not like tunrning the screen sideways so you see better through the fog, i mean you see him clearly there and 1 meter back he *plop* is away. to make things clear: i dont say someone cheated.

i only noticed it on ice as there the effect is really well visible

General Chat / Enemy appears and dissapears again in the foggy distance
« on: Friday, January 10, 2014, 15:29:06 PM »
On [mAAp]Ice i noticed that there seems to be a certain distance after which the enemy disappears. That means: If the enemy is like 180m away i can see him, if i step back 1m he dissapears, even though the wooden crates around (and behind) him are still visible. I dont know if its due to level of detail reduction in greater distance combined with fog or something else. But this does never happen on mountain pass or bridge (large maps with fog) or on [AA3]Airfield (huge map without fog). Now i wonder if other players noticed this too, if it's a bug or if its my pc.

Any ideas?

Feedback & Suggestions / Poll in Assist v8.0x

Thank you guys, great update!
But i think a poll where the results are hidden until you have voted would be preferable. Or until a certain deadline.

note to self: "all inaccurate" and "all-in accurate" are NOT the same :D

Feedback & Suggestions / Some thoughts on the game
« on: Sunday, December 22, 2013, 22:27:27 PM »
some things about the game are not good, there is still room to improve things.
if you get hit by a nade for example, the weapon disappears, i think that sucks and some other things too.
but its a game and i like the whole thing, the "whole package".
if the small things change the whole game changes too.
the singlefire nerf almost made me cry: thanks to some autokey users singlefire became almost useless to me.
the possibility that a new function or a change of function is to the worse (like new sounds omg...) is really big now.

the best thing about the game is also the worst thing at the same time: the community.
people changing a map (insurgent camp: really great, thank you very much!)  so people have fun during holidays, unfortunately they mess it up a little bit and what happens: complaints, complaints everywhere. i work at an airport and i have to say some of the members here are worse than firstclass deluxe "lickmyshoes" passengers: if its not perfect then it sucks. its a 10 (?) year old game thats being run on donations and people still complain.

now, enjoy the game (it's holiday season, at least to most of us) and the fact that we have this game, being held alive by a small handful of people after it has once been shut down.

mAAp Project / Re: SF Extraction Fix
« on: Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 13:18:06 PM »
Permanent is not "more fair". Right now, you never know where the enemy will spawn. Maybe they will spawn 6 times in a row in south, and you spawn west 6 times in a row. That's coincidence and it's fair. And to be honest: A decent team can still win in a south vs. west constellation. The map itself is perfectly fair. And with time you'll also know the "bug"-spots on the map, some players are always there, but hey, thats good as you can find them easier. :)

General Chat / Re: New update
« on: Friday, July 26, 2013, 13:54:28 PM »
Oh no, those stupid updates....
before, you could click like hell and get lots of single-fired bullets out
now, it shoots in staccato mode. peng. pepepeng. pepeng. peng. peng. pepeng.
this sucks.
the update is punishing people who DONT use scripts.
single fire is slower now. congratulations.
why dont you make a new update so you can't sprint anymore. because it helps against what? cheaters? lol?
stop making updates that ruin the game just because you are not skilled enough to play this game.
the solution is uninstall the game.

General Chat / Re: A mass honor reset.
« on: Friday, July 26, 2013, 12:25:02 PM »
I don't know what some of you guys here are smoking... But whatever it is, stop it.
Reset all honor? Why don't you format your computer, just for fun? Because, who needs backups and "documents"?

Why are we even discussing this?
