It would be impossible for more than one device to share the same IPv4 Address.  Even if you have a home network and all the computers on it have the same Address when you look it up, that is actually the address of your router (One device).

Your ISP just gave you a line of crap.

Click Start > Computer
Select Network on the left Side
Select Network and sharing Center (At the top)
Select Change Adapter Settings on the Left
Right Click on your Network Device
Click Properties
Uncheck Internet Protocal Version 6
Click OK.

If it breaks your internet (Meaning your ISP is not giving you an IPv4 Address) Simply follow the steps above, and Recheck Internet Protocal Version 6 then click ok.

Im not sure that the UE2 Engine supports IPv6.

What OS do you have?  We can attempt to disable IPv6 and force your IPv4 Address that way.  Where are you located?

Tickrate can be tricky merlin, Check out this post, its got a great display of what tickrate is and how it works.  For a servers changed tickrate to work, the client also has to adjust their net speed accordingly.

The procedure should be identical.  Download Assist Server to your dedicated box as you would on your Personal Computer.

Double check and make sure all your ports are forwarded to your LOCAL IP Address (The one given to you by your router) you can also set your computer as the DMZ host in your router to ensure all the necessary ports are opened.

Lastly, it sounds like your having a bind issue, try using the Multihome command in the command line to force it to your IPv4 Address.

-Multihome=0.0.0.0

Read more here.

(It's at the bottom)

I can tell you as a server host, IPv4's are running thin, but not extinct (Just expensive).

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if pit had something to do with it

Pit had nothing to do with it.  I Host the site.  My hand was forced to suspend the site until the issue was resolved.

In taking down the auth server, and removing the AC Protection methods used from distribution they met my requirements to restore the site.

There we're never any hard feelings, just business.

The website is back, and I'm working with the developers to get a playable version out ASAP.

Enough about what happened, Lets move on.   What would you the players like to see in the near future?

you need to restart the assist client completely to get the update.  If the server hasent restarted, its using the Old AP.  Try connecting to one of the AA2.5 Offficials

Server Support / Re: AA25 Assist Server Config Question
« on: Wednesday, July 24, 2013, 02:36:05 AM »
I remember a time playing AA when servers would run for AGES and playerid would break past the 1000's. Servers got laggy. Restarting every match is a bit overkill but every 6-7 matches might help. At least there won't be a huge server.log.

That was because SCI or supercomputerinc was nothing more than an old packard bell running linux and hosting the server via WINE.

hahaha.

Thanks for the info.  You answered my question.

mAAp Project / Community Mods?
« on: Wednesday, August 01, 2012, 12:48:15 PM »
Im an experienced UScript coder, and was looking to tinker around with making a server mod.  I really appreciate the work that the developers have done here with bringing AA2 back.  I was wondering if community created mods are permitted.

Thanks,
