Computer Specs Sig
« on: Sunday, April 25, 2010, 16:59:57 PM »
Normally I don't don't broadcast specs but after seeing a flood of those leetsig images, I thought I could do better :) I pulled off a couple of moves and came up with something that I think looks halfway decent. Something cool about it is the right 1/4 of the image is actually a link.

Comments?

I like it. Looks really cool. I love the style of the sigs you make. You should make more.

I made a spec sig a while back but it wasn't as complex or as cool looking.

:D Nobody's said that to me. You know the funny part, to me, it's so easy, it's just random styles that I've googled to achieve a look similar to what I want. Here's what I did:

Took a picture of my computer, blurred it (forget what blur but they all do about the same), added a layer of scanlines, added text with a 1px black outer glow that pretty much outlines, then learned how to make rounded corners via circle selection tool, then used the slicing tool and made 2 images. I mean, really, even with the computer locking up in the middle of work, I spent no more than 10-15 minutes.

Yours is good, I always like the ones that pop out like that. Totally breaks up the typical rectangular sigs.

Feel free to use it guys, just don't steal my image :) You'll have to figure out the rounded border by yourself though unless you select it with the magic wand but I did that and it turned out bad.

I made another one and refined the text so it's easier to see. One problem I didn't think about is making the rounded corners the same across multiple images. I'm going to get new background images for them and try to refine more.

Sure, if you give me a picture of your computer and not one that is built for e-penis and aesthetics.

How do you know that isn't my computer?  :P

I'll see if I can get a good picture of mine, but it'll probably be hard. My computer is covered in a nice coat of dust. Not to mention it's not that colorful.  :)

I would be highly surprised if it was yours Delta. You don't really play graphic demanding games and if you loved CUDA that much or were a coder, I would figure your money would be better spent on a workstation that's geared towards that. Anyway, I updated the sigs. The PSD's now have the corner selection saved so you can duplicate exactly. I can still make some for those who want one.
