SF Hospital roof bug

Hi guys, as some of you might know there is a bug on ambusch roof.
I'm used to play Sniper on Escort. With v 2.5 i have to deal with the problem that enemies appear invisible on ambush roof as soon as they go prone and strafe left or right. I can't really say if this bug is an issue for everyone, maybe it depends on my amd graphics, maybe it depends on the 18B slot which i usually go for or maybe it is dependent on a certain ambush weaponclass. But i'm quite sure that i had these problems with guys that have a 18B and 18C slot. Is there a chance that the 25Assist crew can fix that bug or are u even aware of that bug?

I thought it was if u went behind the vents u where invisible

Yes, the vents, but also left and right of the big two vents and that within a certain radius. I think that i've also experienced players which are invisible between the big two vents and the smaller vents on the left (escort point of view).

All you have to do is observing the ambush roof from 3rd floor escort building. Sooner or later you should notice that roof campers are visible as soon as they go prone and show their body, but when they strafe left or right behind the vents or next to the vents they disappear visually and you are wondering where the shots are coming from.

I assume you mean West wing Roof?

These are know bugs and all fixed in later version's.  I've played around many hours on that map, so know most.

There is also a similar bug in 3rd floor escort where you cant see the players from west wing roof.

There is another on the fire escape also shoot through the mesh.

We got to the point that if people would exploit them then they would be banned.

Not sure if the a later version can be used to fix all these bugs otherwise I just say don't worry about it as I'll still kill you all!!.

Yeah, these bugs have been fixed with the latest AA2 updates, but v2.5 isn't fixed. I really would appreciate it, when you can fix these bugs, because there are players who a) don't know about these bugs and accidently make use of them and b) those who are aware of these bugs, but give a flying shit about them and make use of them.

spanky had a peek at the areas in the editor and didnt see anything that stood out, but maybe putting the 2.5 map in editor along side the 2.8 map in editor something will be different. if its not that obvious spankys going to lose another layer of hair.

Well, it's good to know that you are checking this. If you can't fix this easily, don't worry. Take your time, i just wanted to let you know. Maybe the server admins should try to set up some sort of rule for this bug, but most of the server admins aren't even aware of this bug or utterly just don't care.

I guess I'll have to download 2.8.5 and compare differences. I should also check out other maps. I know someone was talking about NVG on Urban Assault letting you see through all the fog.

Good idea. As far as i can remember v2.8.5 was pretty much bugfree (major bugs).

Actually there are some bugs on Urban Assault as well where the player can become invisible at a certain location. I'm not going to say where. It wasn't until recently with Assist that we have been able to actually bug-fix the game because everyone has the same files with Assist.

Point of this topic is: if there is a bug on a map tell me or Spanky on the forums, and we will try to fix it.

2.8.5 finished downloading and I opened the map. Forgive me for not knowing the locations (I never whored Hospital much), you're talking about 3rd floor escort versus that the high-point on the opposite side of the map? The roof with 2 large AC units, 3 small AC units and 2 skinny vents?

The only thing I'm seeing different is that on 2.8.5, the 2nd and 3rd floor ambush buildings are no longer zoned off. Oddly enough they still have separate ZoneInfo actors which means that there's 3 in the outside zone (not proper mapping). This could be the answer but I'll need someone to test it that is familiar with the glitch.
