so That will be YES!!!  459 game s ORE !!! ad least 1 million  hours, of stress, fun, hope, bots to kill.

I dunno how realistic co-op missions are in 2.5 but I think every map already in 2.5 could be easily converted to an amazing co-op mission. I have ideas for like half the maps already :p

I'd love to make a coop map. Like I've said in previous posts about coop, I feel that it's like a single player campaign with other players. 151Alpha made a lot of great coop maps.

I think monkeys are smarter that 2.8 AI, Which gives me an idea, Just get a few hundered moneys with laptops and put them in the game! We can play against monkeys then. Someone would have to fed them... and someone would need to buy the moneys... and the laptops... but i'm sure the finer details can be worked out.

No. When i tried converting Interdiction, i tried putting in back a few NPCs, lets say just 7/8. The error messages coming from the poor AI control lead to a huge server log spam. Basically servers would gasp for air after a few minutes if you were to roughly add NPCs (aka bots) without setting them up properly (and that requires more time, if its actually possible). Additionally, you have to design it to make sense, which involves further work if the map wasn't meant for a coop gameplay (as most maps).

Monkeys would probably be smarter than the actual AI.

If we had the resources (mostly financial resources and game code) to make better things and improve the game, we could have looked up plenty of things among AI, game performace (multithreading capability), game code improvements...

Anyway for the record, AI in 2.8.5 is controlled by paths and behaviors, to put it briefly. If you want a nice study case, you can check out Unreal 2004 AI which actually works very nicely, it's pretty decent even for today's standard.

SFHighland is another of the maps i really like, very nice layout given the size (it's huge by every means)

That red haze is due to the sunset light colour. The map has an impressive level of detail, in pretty much each of its parts.



i just took a couple screenshots of Crimson Sunset from 2.8.5 .

Think you missed one.  HospitalNE.aao briliant Map if you like hospital. Night time hospital with a larger map, ie back garage, top of hospital, underground car park in helipad.
