So for ppl like me who has the very regular mouse that came for free with the pc ...what is the extra i wud get by doing this thing?

It disables mouse acceleration.

Normal acceleration: If you move faster from point A to point B with the mouse, you will make for example a 360 degrees turn in game
If you move slower from point A to point B, your turn will only be 280 degrees.

Now if you disable mouse acceleration, it does not matter how fast you move from point A to B, you will always turn at the same speed.
