Real competition? Like allowing another group of guys to develop a competing program that does the same thing?

No, like you guys create some league where clan's can compete like TWL style or something like that, but you guys were the league/competition admins, believe me there is nothing better for the game than competition, and I'm sure that some of oldschool players would be back. Pubbing is cool but gets boring... anyway it's just my 2 cents.  ;)

Oh, well, I'll let someone else comment on that. I think Jared was making something like that. I just play for fun so I don't know anything about this kinda stuff. I'm still not sure what pubbing is either.

I'm sorry, i thought i was talking with an admin, my bad lol. Pubbing is what people are doing now, just playing "without meaning", just for stats or fun, like a soccer team that only plays friendly matches  :P

I am an admin, on these forums :) I just make mAAp maps. Jonny made Assist by himself. I can't speak for him but I doubt he would want to spend the time setting up a match site and managing stuff that goes along with it. I think Jared's the only one that's actually putting fourth effort to create something like this. See here:

Could be as simple as posting a thread, finding players, setting up a server, and playing impromptu tourneys. I'm in if it were as simple as that. It would be easier if there were a topic sub-section devoted to set match play.

rnm410,

You are missing my point, i was talking about a competition, not some friendly match or trainning scrim. :)

Noticed, I do want to play a bracketed tourney as-well, but those usually take time to get up. Matching was for time purposes, and there is already a topic. So I kinda lost on both points.
