Anti-Cheat in AA2.5
« on: Wednesday, March 07, 2012, 10:25:11 AM »
So I was wondering who is doing the anti-cheat for this version of the game. I don't recall AON, ACi and company supporting AA2.5

I am a former AON Mentor and CheatBusted admin, so anti-cheat is always an interesting issue for me.

Thanks

Me, spanky, blueblaster and killaman all have access to the anticheat system. we keep and eye on the logs and take action accordingly. We just ban peoples accounts, IP and hardware from using 2.5Assist.

ACI indeed supported 2.5 when auth was still up. They supported all versions of AA.

I would be scared if AON and ACI still ruled the anti-cheat system. It would be very pathetic compared to the system in place now.

I think ACI's system is very clever and wish we had something like it.

Keeping anti-cheat scripts private and having server-based bans that aren't always global?

Common sense and a little help from all 25Assist players is more than enough for me, A persenal talk is the best if summbuddy look like he use  summthing by the way AON ore A.C.I they also make misstakes.
I read a lot ban appeal in the past people are trying to get  ther name`s back and were dissapoint becose ther was not a human way of thinking.

I also might have a punkbuster kick or two from the past for something my brother did.

HAHA

I have been kicked in the past too, for something that my <<brother>> did too :)

But I'm worse, I'm still always being kicked for not doing nothing, this is even worse.

My friend is having a lot of weapon glitch warnings or something... And I was kicked from a server for some kind of weapon exploit or something like that without doing anything.

And I'm getting tired of the PNKBSTRA kick failures too god damn PB trojan!!

About ACI\ACE... Some of their members were just pathetic noobs. Because a lof of them used to have hacks running in the back (and I'm talking about the server admins)...
Keep Cool

I think the current system is a little better then the one ACI had because you guys can add packages (and thereby local checks for recoil exc.) to someones system. And you guys can do HWID bans which would really suck for someone without proper knowledge. The disadvantage of HWID bans is when 2 poeple use the same computer. Same go's for IP bans.

The risks of being cought for a hacker is much higher now then when ACI was up. I have never been cought by ACI and hacked AA to pieces. you could easily bypass them and only had to worry about PB (wich wasn't mutch better)
