I've had an older version of ubuntu (Maybe 8.04) on one stick of 256MB before. It seemed to run fine.  :)

But then again, every version of XP I test is modded heavily.

I'm slowly gaining the will-power to post about that. When I do, I'm sure you'll add stuff since I learned from you :)

I kind of expect most OS's to run well on at least 128MB of 262.5 MHz RAM. I've got another computer in the house built from garbage that runs XP on that actuallly =D

I tend to get fancy on the looks of my OS.

I like to re-image it myself, almost completely.

League table of OS's

1. Ubuntu Linux (Will run on anything and FAST)
2. Mac OSX      (Will only run on Macs so pushed back to 2nd place, FAST)
3. Windows 7    (Reliable but slow)
4. Windows XP  (Sometimes slow, but unreliable)
5. Windows VISTA (Very Slow and Unreliable)

um, Vista isn't slow at all...... :-\  I have never had Vista crash on me or anything either. I would say it's pretty reliable.

Anything has bias in it, let Jonny have his list. Of course everyone's list would look different.

Vista was and still is great. The problem was that people still haven't realized you can't upgrade and upgrade software without getting newer hardware.

I have been telling people this for years. Finally glad to see someone agree with me.

I have been using vista since it came out. Made sure i built a system capable of handling it and its worked fine for years.

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE!

Seriously though, I hate how a lot of forums have time limits on threads. I wasn't aware that discussions and ideas expire in the real world.

Vista isn't "bad" but I would rank it #3. I mean, it has nice features but doesn't natively support TRIM so for computers with SSD's, it sucks.

Very easy to be remotely exploited with armitage and some private stuff (alboraaq have some amazing exploits to this OS on the vip area).
Almost like the logmein or teamview fast login ;D
