Hi all,

I have recently installed a new GFX Card.

Since then, when opening Assist, it is always loading all the gamefiles (like when you open assist for the first time)

[It says verifying....................]

It has become frustrating because it takes a whole long and is very slow.

Can anyone point me in the direction to rectify this issue?

this is a normal task - it will always do it, by everybody. its a check about the files.

but the scan should take only take 5-10 seconds. more would be strange.

Yes I know however the thing is that it is taking like 15 minutes to perform.

Its always stating that its doing the full md5 scan.. but it's like its always doing it for the first time (the long one)

After a few minutes it also tells me that i lost connection with the auth server and hv to start again :/

sounds like classic antivirus shit, disable all antivirus and never install one ever again. And never shut down assist, nor your pc, and always wear pink underwear.

I have avg running in background, I load within seconds of opening assist, 15 minutes really???

On my end it lasts 5 minutes sometimes when I'm far away from router. Do you have wireless connetion?

hm, that's an interesting issue. It's not loading files, it's simply checking to make sure all the necessary files are there. The reason it does this every time is if there's a problem downloading a specific file, Assist can can re-download that file again on the next start up instead of having to do everything all over again.

It can takes a bit of time, but 15 minutes is absurd. It should take 1 minute max. Something might be blocking you from contacting the server or something might just be slowing the program down. I'm not exactly sure.

During those 15 minutes... do it switch file now and then? Or is same text during the 15 minutes?

open a dos box and do the following command:

ping 213.3.219.141

you should get a result like this one, without any packet loss:

Hey all,

Sorry for late reply but had busy days due to work.

Apparently the problem was a port issue or IP issue.

I noticed that usually, the files that Assist verifies start loading instantly. (I mean that you can't even actually read them because it goes so fast).

What mine was doing was loading them VEEERRRYYY slow.

I simply unplugged the internet cable from my port at the back of the case and put it back in.

I suppose that this reset my connection?

It works normal now and all files are verified instantly.
