My life
« on: Wednesday, September 15, 2010, 11:40:34 AM »
I am probably one of the most lazy people any of you know. I don't do it on purpose, it just kind of happens. I mean to do things yet forget about them easily. I am a very unmotivated person. And through this post I hope to motivate my self. I hope to change the way I live my life. To stop making excuses for what is unacceptable behavior on my part and start living better. To stop rationalizing why I can't do this or I shouldn't do that. I need to get my life in order, I have been living a life of a person I no longer wish to be. I am telling you guys this because I feel you will understand and because I need other people to know what I am really like. If other people know that I am being lazy and useless, maybe I will be motivated to change.

Now I know Ive use the word I in this post more than any narcissist would but I need to have these things known so I can change.

I am probably one of the most lazy people any of you know.

Before I say anything, I want it known that I'm going to treat you roughly with the same attitude I treated Dann with. I appreciate your advice the other day and none of this post is meant to flame or hate. Now onto my reply:

DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It's you. I've known this, I've never brought it up. I've known to take promises / "I'm going to" statements that you say with hefty amounts of salt. I know all this, I've just been polite and never brought it up because I'm not your mother. Back in the middle of May or so, me and Delta had a conversation and I talked about you behind your back. To be honest, I think that's the first time I've done this. The only reason I'd show you this is that maybe it will help motivate you since I'm talking about you unrestricted and not holding back an opinion to be polite. You're a moderator and if you feel that some of it shouldn't be shown, feel free to edit it out. Enjoy:

Thanks Nate. No sarcasm no BS I'm really thanking you, because you are right. I don't do any thing. I am lazy as I have stated. And its not so much I have problem taking the first step its keeping with it for more than a week. Now a little in my defense Ive done a good deal more than just look on craigslist for a job. But you are right about the computer thing, after getting flagged for removal 4-5 times I gave up on it. And its probably a good thing I don't have the knowledge of computers that you do. About my computer, I feel I need to remark on this. I worked for my uncle for two summers brick cleaning and damp proofing. 12-15 hour days in the Georgia heat and saved up about 1300$ with which I bought my computer. The only thing I didn't pay for my self was one of my hard drives that was a birthday present when one of mine died. Now please, if you have a shot take it. I am in need of motivation and some times the hardest things to do are the right ones. If you see I have a flaw that should be addressed PLEASE point it out to me! I wont hate you, I need this it is some thing I do not get in my life other wise-constructive criticism-

I don't have the knowledge of computers that you do.

I'm not going to judge that either way because I don't know the extent of your knowledge and skill. From what I've seen though, it's above average. You've built your own computer and while that's getting easier and easier these days, you have skills that a lot of people don't. When I first moved here, I came with a computer I had built for my grandpa that died randomly and I had to bring it (mom purchased it to cover my mistake). I don't know how I figured out that it was the memory since I didn't have ANY parts let alone any that fit a new platform. It may seem like I do a LOT of work but I've only been doing stuff heavily like the last year. The last 13 months have been the only ones that I've sold computers and only 15 of them. If you have an interest in doing that at ALL, look at me. I really had remedial knowledge when I arrived in Idaho and while I don't run a multi-million dollar business, I do have random and infrequent income 4 years later. Most all of my knowledge came out of necessity for my own use and I've just applied it and learned more. I'm lazy, I have a ton of shit I need to do but I know you can if you really want to.

Kody, knock the fuck out. I am known to wear the title of being the Resident Prick, but truly, what I am is a agglutination of sarcasm, irony and bluntness.

Instead of coming out of your way and asking of people to help you motivate, why do you not stop, listen to your inner-voice and accept what he's been telling you all over the way? You may be lazy -which at any rate, is anything but laziness, but rather, a lack of trust and care for yourself- but you certainly aren't stupid. You have a healthy brain that needs be put to good usage. Let me ask you: How do you manage living without a job? Your answer is either: A) Still living with my parents  B) Family economical support. Exactement. Therein lies the first issue. You have been given the time, and provided with the circumstances to drag yourself pitifully and mindlessly. You have all conditions needed to live crawling. And then, when ever the time shows appropriate, you flash a bit of your potential -either through mental assertion or an illusive grotesque display of exuberant personality...of which you have none, to the veracity of the effect- And, Jolly Mother, do people remain surprised and everso impressed with your so en-beveled and nature-twisting character. Fuck that. You may fool those who are emotionally connected with you, but do know that such foolishness will not reach to the eyes and understanding of those who have lived and dealt with you analytically.

Yes Kody, you are unconfident.
Yes Kody, you are mistrusted by none other than yourself.
Yes Kody, you are wrongful.

No Kody, you are not lazy.
No Kody, you are not a fool.
No Kody, you are not going to win life over with such display of actions.

I do not pity you. I pity that your fabulous mind has been inevitably associated with such a poorly-executing body and soul.

That's Dann style for you.
Now get the fuck out of this board and go live life.

I'm not sure how to respond to that, other than to state that the whole point of my post wasn't to get others to motivate me. It was to expose my character flaws to the public so I am more motivated to change said flaws. I agree that I should stop living off my mother but for the time being I have to. I am trying to put my brain to better use than mushing around playing video games all damn day. I am changing. I have in the past as you said mushed off and then when called on it used my brain to avoid any issues. I am stopping that behavior now as I know it will lead to major problems down the road. I am probably one of the most unconfident persons you could meet. I loathe confrontation and I hate being in the company of my peers. If I where to sum up my peer group in one word it would be 'twat'. I have always viewed my self as a smart person and the company of my peers almost always tends to be ignorant idiots who I cannot stomach for more than a few minutes.

I found a quote that I think fits this.
"He who cannot describe the problem will never find the solution to that problem." I am working on figuring out my problems so I can fix them.

f other people know that I am being lazy and useless, maybe I will be motivated to change.

If other people know --orso read-- that you are being (what eventually lead you to believe this condition may be temporary? Furthermore, what lead you to believe asserting this fact would make others look at it in a more displacing manner?) lazy and useless, then whatever the change(s) may be to yourself, they will have been provoked through the care and conscience of others, and not, yours. By trusting others will motivate you towards your desired goal, you are dangerously affirming that the origin your nature -and thus its state- is shaped at the "hands" of those who praise you; when-as, what should be set as a first priority is that the origin of your nature is a resultant patente of your own doings, beliefs and praises.

The whole point of the OP, as well as all subsequent to the previously mentioned, is that of the search for motivation coming from other's beliefs, praises and doings. Your endless search for a motive, provided by others than yourself, is futile at best. If you can not accept your own motives and afford a sense of validity of their own, then -as always- it is only a matter of time until the next rock falls flat down in your wooden-crafted structure.

Nothing that is born out of everything will ever last -if the circumstances and conditions of said everything are dependant to its variants- for longer than the need to reach its everything.

Ok Dann, if others know I am being lazy, I guess you could call it a blow to my ego and self image. If people know I am more likely to do some thing to change. Its not your feed back or praise/hate(which I appreciate) that motivates me its the thought of other people knowing some thing that I would prefer to stay hidden. Its also a daily reminder to me that this change needs to happen. And you are right I am the only one that can make this change happen. And I view this thread as one of many ways of helping me change. This thread is a support beam if you will, and when I am ready I will delete this thread when I no longer need to be reminded.
