Friends mom got an updated computer and her mouse doesn't work with Vista and asked if I wanted it. So I grabbed it and ran in compatibility mode for XP sp2. Now I have a like new wireless Logitech MX700 for free.

 What have you found/got?

I just got back home from running errands and at the recycling center in a box there was this printer. It's a L7650 HP All-In-One. There was a paper jam with paper hidden way back and the user probably didn't see it. I got it to print a magenta page. It's sitting behind me doing some kinda test. Will report later with more.

That was the problem. After that the printer ran tests and configured itself and then I was able to print off several different diagnostic & log prints. At first I thought this printer might have been donated or bought for the recycling center (It was left outside early in the morning before the facility was open) but it obviously had issues and was purchased in 2008 so I don't feel bad about picking it up. All in all, I got a professional printer, copier, scanner with almost full internal ink and brand new ink in a separate package:

I think I'm going to sell it. I'd enjoy the money a lot more, besides, I already have an older HP AIO that just needs ink. I don't need anything this fancy. This SOB weighs like 50 pounds too.

Grabbed this nifty surge protector/suppressor from a dumpster out side a newly defunct business.




BTW Nate, when that printer was new (2008 or so) it cost 500$ with out ink.

Yeah new it was 500$ my mom bought one when they where new
I moved my stuff around and I haven't figured out where I want my usb hub. The surge protector is really nice I love it. Also having my monitor up higher is great cause I don't hunch as much at my desk. Thanks for fixing them
