The main reason for me is the down time, servers or auth, caused by the attacks. Been playing this game since 2004, quited somewhere in 2010 and started playing again spring 2015, when heard a buddy talking about assist. Even last year i used to play a few evenings a week, but lately not so much, since atleast every friday evening and saturday evening, there is a attack. These two evenings i want to spend well, which means i do not want bs server attacks.
Since the attacks started and comming frequently, the ammount of players drops. In the end, our dear friend, got what he want: if i cant play, noone can.

This is exactly what 95 percent of the small aao community is thinking.
Either make sure ppl get banned and that they cannot do any harm whatsoever (ddos etc) , or let everyone play when the first option is not possible. Because atm no one can play, which is terrible.

No. Since assist is needed to make sure your server is the serverlist, they can do it. Tho, it would be nice that this info was public.

There is a command for this, like a code you need to type, or is this assist related?. But, like you and koden pointed out, it still doesnt mean anything. Besides that, if he doesnt abuse it, i dont care anyway, since he is admin of the game.
