True, but not for AAO25 ... The Assist should be on the Steam (or something like this) - and guys, start advertising this game / Assist.

The Assist could be on Steam under the programs software

There is no free trial for SQUAD. Also, I would recommend to give it a good try. 1 match is not enough. To fully experience SQUAD you need to be with a good squad, have a good squad leader and overall good communication.  All of my guys at TAW (taw.net) play with tactics, good comms and we do have military guys with us, so we are pretty well set as far as good squad leaders.

Regarding Insurgency, I was excited about the game and in the beginning it was tactical, steady and slow, but overtime the devs started to cater to CoD, AAPG and similar players and now it is more run and gun than tactical......

By the way, I still do believe than regardless of what the AA devs say, AAO25 should be on steam

Yea, I was in the PG beta.
Problem with Proving Grounds to me is simple. Instead of staying with the AA2 gameplay (even AA3 gameplay), the devs are trying to emulate CoD, GRP and other BF......I am also not talking about content, but about gameplay.....

Ive been playing it but its not rally the game for me...

Why not? Performance issues?
The funny thing is that since Squad came out, AAPG has even less players......I am hoping the AA devs will see that, finally wake up and redo AA the way it was before AAPG. Heck even AA3 would be better than AAPG......

It is definitely a very good game. I am hoping that many of the AA2 veterans will get the game and join us in game.
And if you are interested in a clan for SQUAD, check out http://taw.net .Email me at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

SQUAD is definitely the new realistic type shooter. Think Americas Army 2 + Arma 3.
Check it out and if you are looking for a unit, check out http://taw.net

The only way to actually contact battletracker users without Homey being involved is logging into battletracker and sending individual emails/private messages to all players that used to play AA

Merlin, nothing prevents players from playing 2 similar games. And nothing prevents us from letting INS players know about AAAssist either.

Jelle, if I wanted to advertise, I would make a straight advertisement post regardless of what forum this is.
But note that this post was done in the Games & Programming/Game Reviews section

One of thing of interest for AA players is that we have a few AA maps available such as Bridge, Bridge SE and Pipeline. Will have them added to my server at some point this week.

Games & Programming / Re: Cooperative FPS anyone? (Player VS AI)

No. In FPS I am about PVP. The only reason I would do coop is for training purposes.

That is correct, there is no medic class that I know of.  However because one respawns as soon as an objective is complete, you don't really need that. To give a specific example, lets say I die within the first 2 minutes. Well, I would respawn and be back in game as soon as you take Alpha.

I am more into PVP. More fun. The only reason I would do coop is for training purposes.

Check out Insurgency at http://www.playinsurgency.com/ .It is quite similar to Americas Army and more and more popular.  I have been playing it for a few month (about 98 total hours) and it is very tactical, team oriented. Check it out and consider playing it.
My gaming community Warriors Gaming has just launched an Insurgency division. Check out my gaming community at http://warriorsgaming.enjin.com and consider joining for Insurgency.
