Feedback & Suggestions / Blood?
« on: Tuesday, February 04, 2014, 22:58:43 PM »
hey there,

Can't Client side blood effect be increased\improved a lot and make it more realistic somehow?

Blood makes the game a lot more serious  :style:.

Support / Re: Please add Creative EAX support

It shouldn't be a requirement for windows 7.

AA2 doesn't even support it correctly if i remember right, what issues are you having?
It's not really an issue... EAX just doesn't work on windows 7.

Creative came around with a solution long time ago, adding "Creative Alchemy" that converts directsound and it can restore EAX sound effects of any older game.

But it adds a .dll and assist just shut down the whole game because the anti-cheat protections kicks in reporting dsound.dll from creative as a alien file.

ps: Activating 3D hardware in-game doesn't make any difference on wind7 because it needs creative .dll to work. And it actually make a whole different sound when it's active (each room sounds really way different from each other).

News / Re: Player shadows has been disabled.
« on: Tuesday, February 04, 2014, 22:40:46 PM »
And can't the shadows be fixed?

This is one of the things I never liked in AA is playing for years and years without the shadows (they were disabled on almost every servers).

It's even so stupid why AA devs for years haven't done anything about them, and just let everyone disable it instead

missed you all too. Sound wars... . :D

I haven't played any pc game for years already. A friend came here, and I had a very outdated AA25assist (I wanted to show him the game).

Just updated today, saw that now there is trainings ("WOW").

After doing the training fast, joined a server and WTF a map inside hehe .

I WOULD PAY 50 EUR FOR AA2 WITH NOWADAYS IMPROVED PHYSICS AND GRAPHICS (Hope AA4 ever comes and I hope they make the same as AA2, because AA3 is stupid and clearly made for kids :( ).

ps: Nice work guys  :style: Keep it up!
I'm sure it can be done. Even if Assist has to install it by default and MD5 it to make sure it's not something else.
That's exactly what I was asking.

It adds 3 files. The ".dll", a ".txt" log and a ".ini".

ps: I can upload the .dll and the .ini files if you guys need.

Support / Please add Creative EAX support

Hey there mates.

I have a creative sound card, and on windows 7 we need to use creative Alchemy, but it adds a dsound.dll which AA25Assist reports as a Alien file.

Isn't there a way you could add 3D EAX audio support by adding that .dll to the list?

News / Re: Upcoming Update: Redesigned Assist and AA3 Maps

Hey there.

Long time No see :)

I'm not playing AA25assist for a damn long time. But I'm amazed you guys don't let this die.

IM TOTALLY PISSED THAT THERE ISN'T A SINGLE "COMBAT SIMULATOR" THAT CAN REPLACE *AA2*.

All those new Next Gen amazing game engines coming out, but not a single game can give what AA2 still gives.

Batlefield 3\4, COD..... they are all damn stupid.

Even ARMA III feels arcade to me when compared to this.

Hardware/Software / Re: Frequency Range Chart (with instruments & definitions)
« on: Monday, July 23, 2012, 20:41:27 PM »
Well it's good for example to make the best BASS possible for your speakers if you know well their specifications (not just on the papper).

And to be a DJ those days, you don't really need to know much about music... All you need to do is press PLAY, know what to mix, and FAKE the rest. Never seen a DJ I liked yet (in live).

No, forget it, I know a good DJ... The one from Prodigy, he really play his HUGE synthesizer which is lot's of synthesizers in one, and he really does it good :style:.

But I hated all the parties I went too... Booooooooring, all they do is play and the music is just the same crap as the ones I already have (Why do I wanna pay to go to a rave to hear what I already have home), I would prefer to hear a true good old band instead.

Also lot's of dj's pissed me of, by increasing the low frequencies a damn lot, which the amp is always lighting up the red light of warning and it's just distortions... Also have heard one that sounded like 150 DB inside my head, removed all the low frequencies and increased a damn lot the mid-high and high frequencies, which I couldn't stand the loudness in my ears... GOSH!

LOL.

I remember them in AA2.3. The coolest thing is almost no one knew about them, so I was dead and still killing :)

I loved it in Bridge. I used to hide one in crucial parts and specially <<inside>> a dead body that has a nice looking gun. They aproach and KABOOM, and they couldn't realize anything :D

Hardware/Software / Re: What Makes an Excellent Sound Card?
« on: Wednesday, May 23, 2012, 17:15:32 PM »
I finally bought the external usb sound card for my laptop.

Creative X-FI GO PRO! (couldn't buy anything bigger, as it must be very portable and cheap).

For music is nothing big, and if you use high sensivity in-ear phones like SCHNEIDER CX-300 and others... you will kinda hear a very litle static noise (There's no way to hear it in the headphones or speakers at all), it may also be because of the USB port, since there's lot's of things that can make noise on usb, they recommend disabling Spread spectrum, HT................

The quality in games is pretty good, it's just like I was thinking "Hear enemies before they hear you", on AA2.8.5, I could hear the enemy climbing the middle bridge ladders from like almost spawn.

And now I can use full volume and Thank god I don't get distortions like the crap onboard realshit soundcard I have from the ASUS Saberthooth P67 board.

Pretty good for it's very little size and price, also new creative software really works, and AA can really have the good sound effects back on wind7 with no problems, also I can use all the other features on all other non eax games, to make me hear enemies before they hear me :), and the crystalizer is really good, it really makes music to almost sound as good as the original source (it works pretty good, depending on the music).

Also other good thing is you can adjust the crossover frequency, which is something I never seen on any onboard soundcards...
