Just pointing it out (incorrectly, I might add) ;)

Who's talking about updates? It's a maintenance downtime by the host just like stated in the first post.

The error you're getting suggests you have an other account and you created a new one.

What ganja failed to note is that you need your old account from Battletracker.com , not from AA itself. Try going to http://battletracker.com/index.php?form=LostPassword and entering either you username (not your ingame name, but the name you used to log in to BT) OR e-mail address used with your old battletracker account.

Then you need to use the information for that Battletracker account to log in to Assist and all your training will automatically be done.

Feedback & Suggestions / Re: AA3 Maps Discussion

Things are looking good:

I'm starting to gather together the quirks and things that need fixing. As long as I have some time set aside, I can get a couple of maps ready for a beta.

*EDIT*
For those wondering, I'm not getting 4 FPS on the map, that's just how many times the window was refreshed. With live preview turned on. FPS goes to 13-14 which is quite good considering there's no optimization in the map yet and it's rendering everything as a whole.
Looks pretty good. I bet it's even better in person (read:in the game).

Looking forward to trying it out ;)

That wasn't the purpose. It's a chance for people to come and drop an opinion, cast a vote, etc. . There also used to be a message at the login screen on the Assist.
I know the main purpose is to see what people think about it, but I was referring to the fact that you'll have people coming here moaning about whatever you do after it's done. You can never please everyone and this poll is designed to make it plausible to please a majority. But as stated before, not a whole lot of people who play this game come here on these forums (which given the size of the community is unfortunate).

I'd guess it's to cover their ass. If they have a poll, then when people come and complain afterwards, they can point it out and say "you had your chance for a vote".

And I don't think adding AA3 maps with the "higher detail" and whatever would do much damage. I'm pretty sure our map developers are pretty decent at managing stuff like that. Look at mAAp Pipeline for example. It might run at a slightly lower resolution (haven't checked), but even if it does, it still looks a lot more than just slightly better than the regular.

General Chat / Re: How healty is Assist for next year??
« on: Tuesday, September 24, 2013, 16:07:29 PM »
If you check BT stats you see a drop from ~950/day to ~650/day since the AC-shutdown scenario.
That means over 30% are gone.

If we would get rid of Assist it may bring back a lot of them, even without scoring.
You seem to want more players to play the game, but you don't seem to know what you're talking about.

Do you realize that if you closed Assist, you'd need to connect to servers the manual way (i.e "connect xxx.xxx.xxx"), which may not seem a lot to you, but trust me, it is a lot to a lot of the players here. And that's just the start. Evenbalance hasn't supported the game for what? 1½ years now? Even if you played without Assist, you'd still get people cheating on the game far more than you do now.

Assist isn't just a way for the admins to "fuck with you", it's a program to make your life easier!

PS.
Sorry for the rage.

The VIP-gun is not a bad gun really, it's only shit if you wanna hit someone from distances greater than the length of your arms.

I don't think that is possible. (Although it might be, I've never tried or anything...)
And even if it is, I'd at least hope the admins have banned it.

Right click on the bar with all the tools, settings and stuff, then select "Toolbar".

That should do it.

Too high sound is like wallhack, no interest
Not only that, but it hurts my ears damn it! I'm not playing this to have my ears bleed, I'm playing to have fun.

But to be honest, I think the way people try and hear things from further away is still messing with the equalizer, trying to make sounds they're looking for stand out more from the background noise.
