Ultimately, ask the players what they want, not your opinion, who don't play aa2 at all!
let them vote..
You seem to be misunderstanding me. This is exactly what we did that led to the removal of the 203.

That being said, I would be open to making changes but as teddy pointed out, it's a lot more complicated than it used to be. We might not have the ability to add it back without undoing other, more important, fixes to the map.
I simply want you to understand the reality of the situation and that the hostile tone is simply uncalled for.

The changes to SF Hospital were made because the community requested it at the time. The thinking being that the map was already so ambush sided that removing 203 would even it out a bit more. No more camping roof with a 203 waiting for the vip to run out, you actually have to aim and shoot now.

if the assist admins turn a deaf ear again... I'm asking the players to give me support for the hospital, because I don't like dictatorship!
let the assist admin put votes 203 or rpg! let the players decide..
This is exactly what we did and the community voted to remove the 203.

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before in other threads over the years, but there really isn't anyone here that deals with maps anymore. Hell, I don't even know if the software would run on modern Windows (7/8/10/11).
We could revert to the original 2.5 version of the map without needing the editor, but that would also remove the extra slots we added to the map (currently 32) back to I believe 26.
We also fixed a few glitches on the map, such as the ledge on west wing roof making prone players invisible to the enemy while still being able to shoot out. Reverting to the original map is not a good solution.

General Chat / Re: AATracker.net - America's Army Stat Tracking.
« on: Tuesday, December 26, 2023, 05:36:43 AM »
It's been a moment since I've provided any updates, however more has changed than I am able to quickly summarize here (I've neglected the forums in favor of posting quick updates to the Discord server).

The first, and most notable of which, is a significant UI overhaul. I still do not claim to be a web designer to any extent, however it was time to dedicate some time towards making the presentation of stats more palatable.

Secondly, alias history is live. (Very much inspired by Steam's implementation of the same feature).

Each server on the servers page now displays 10 most recent matches on that server

And finally, the homepage has been made a touch more lively by including the 5 most recent matches across ALL tracked servers, as well as a server list preview (sorted by player count descending when applicable). A new background service to reduce the wait time when querying servers has made this possible. There are still some kinks to work out, however I will note this change is specific to the website itself. The tracking application has a vastly more forgiving retry policy / timeout threshold so a "far away" tracked server appearing offline does not indicate that it is not being tracked.(I do hope to address this in the near future).
It's also snowing to help drum up the holiday spirit.

A few other small changes (made some time ago) likely not noted elsewhere in this thread:
- If you want to add your server to the list of tracked servers, you can do so via the Servers page.
- Each server displays a flag corresponding with the country it is hosted in.

Happy Holidays everyone!.
If you don't mind, I'd love to re-invent the website style. That is if you trust me with your site. I understand if you do not.

Not saying you're wrong, but I'd at least expect screenshots when asking for someone to be banned.

A user on discord (c00mbeast) proposed this as a "consistent fix"

Unfortunately this didn't work for me. I still cannot play this game. Kinda ironic, right?

AA Support / Re: PB Restrictions error

Im guessing you had to reinstall Windows and then were faced with the latest updates maybe or you possibly upgraded to Win10 from another version ?
Tom
No. My Windows install location was moved from and older SATA SSD to a newer M.2 SSD. Not a new install. The game worked on my old SATA SSD, it is no longer is playable on the M.2 SSD. I would like to point out that Windows does not care about what medium it's reading data off of. There's no logical reason for PB to be acting differently on an SSD vs a HDD. I don't think the storage medium is the issue.

After swapping out my HDDs for SSDs and re-installing the game I cannot play this game anymore. I constantly get kicked for PB Restriction. I've tried every single solution in this thread and nothing works. "fix PB" ,the file possessed posted, restarted my PC, and even reinstalled the game twice. It's still broken. I simply cannot play this game at all.

General Chat / Re: aao25 API request
« on: Monday, May 20, 2019, 00:47:18 AM »
You are right on that :) I just post this topic about the API because I saw something related to this on the forum and I was curious about it.

About the battletracker.com I know the page and the oldest one aaotracker.com but far I am a concern, the page does not request the player stats from REST API.. probably is done by soapui or another way. I was trying to get the API to create a simple tracker for fun.

Battletracker doesn't use an API. It relies on people registering their servers on its site to be able to track stats. So they can just monitor servers to add stats to players. If there was an API it would be super easy for us to track stats.
AAO25 tracking stats is not impossible, it's just not worth the effort in my opinion.

AA025 has no API as we do not track stats at all. battletracker.com has been the primary stat tracker for AA2 for a long while. About 2 years ago battletracker told us they were shutting down (still hasn't  happened) so we moved all auth to our own services so no more stats are accumulated for AAO25 currently.
The potential to track stats ourselves is there, but I'm not going to lie, the player base is so small it really doesn't even matter. The game is damn near 16 years old. The people that are still playing the game are doing so for the nostalgia, not stats and tracking.

Honor Claims / Re: Honor does not rise anymore
« on: Monday, October 15, 2018, 23:10:30 PM »
Is it possible to use both databases? So that the honor is updated

It is definitely possible but ultimately not worth the time due to how useless honor actually is in AA 2.5. I find it hard to believe people are playing a 15 year old game on a 2 generation old Unreal Engine for the honor progression.

But Battletracker is still working, no? Maybe it will keep working like this..

The be fair I was told by the owner that it'd stay up for a couple of months, and it's been over 7 months now. We rushed to switch it over and now it's still sitting there half functioning. I haven't heard anything from the owner since.

Yes. Once we changed our system to use our own database and not Battletracker, honor will no longer increase.

13
Your account with 36 honor with the login name of Brizzler is definitely in our database. What is the error you're getting trying to login?

14
What is your old login or player name?
