My roommate could arrange for a trip to either Nicaragua (his family has property) or Turkey (he has many friends all over Europe), but more likely if I go anywhere it would be to the American West where I've applied for many jobs. My father has said multiple times he'd pay for me to go somewhere as a graduation gift but I haven't asked much about it yet.

I really hope to go somewhere exciting though, anywhere is appealing when I spend all my time in Wisconsin :)

I cannot say that eight prophecies apply to my own life (well, until I become king and bruise Satan's head) BUT I know someone who does have eight applicable prophecies...

Eight taken from the page you linked with Professor Stoner, dude

1. Would be "The Rock"
2. His character: Merciful (Lost to Chris Jericho at "No Mercy", clearly had too much mercy)
3. To Own the Title "King" (Scorpion King)
4. Flight to Egypt (Scorpion King)
5. Not a Bone of Him Broken (google "dwayne the rock johnson broken bone", there's no results about him breaking a bone cuz you don't break The Rock)
6. Ridiculed (this guy wrestled in his underwear)
7. Rejected (quote from his wiki "WWE fans rejected him for his cheesy character")
8. Given vinegar in thirst (Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?)

This is a really good link for quick scriptures on each prediction.

You're gonna believe a dude named Professor Stoner?

I think I'm done with this thread now, I'll lurk if others want to continue it but this post has to wrap up everything I think about the topic. Vegeta I agree with a lot of what you just said, but nonetheless I still think climate change is occurring rapidly and needs global response. I don't care if it helps the bankers, let them have their fun capitalist game I don't give a shit really. I want the Earth and humanity to survive through the future that climate models predict. If that means bankers get richer for a while, so be it. Lemme let ya in on a little secret though: Climate change response is in many ways about sustainable actions at all scales, individual to corporate and national. When I FIRST introduced climate change to this thread, I said that a proper response would solve countless social problems and it seemed Koden didn't believe me. I'll get to this in a minute, but capitalism as it plays out now is simply not sustainable or logical and everyone knows it (ESPECIALLY the bankers, why would they want people to believe in climate change?)

A proper response to climate change means a strengthening of community ties and community sustainability, to minimize energy consumption for such things as transportation and mass production. It means that we must reconsider, globally, urban and rural zones and their interactions. I am not a techno-optimist (I like cyberpunk but don't really fear a dystopian future cuz for billions of people this is already the dystopian future) so I don't think our factory farms and GMOs can feed the world, I don't think robocops can patrol the world for carbon footprints, and I don't think we can escape to live on a distant exoplanet in a galaxy far away when the Earth dies. That's a lot of "if"s to me, so I'd rather build a windmill, cover cities with solar cells, farm locally and sustainably, build up ties and connections to my neighbors, and CRUSH CAPITALIST PIGS, COMRADE (sarcasm but capitalism and state socialism are both not the answers, and I don't think there's any amount of philosophy or political theory that can find us a solution so everyone needs to change themselves and that'll grow outward). I think the hardest question humanity, and all of us as individuals, face today is the proper way to act and reconciling moral questions with environmental issues. But then again that's kinda my field of study so I guess that WOULD be the hardest question to me.

Goodbye, Drama and Spam section.
It was fun. I trolled a lot, I posted seriously a lot, and maybe it wasn't clear which was which. But I'm done posting now, and this post was serious except for the capitalist pigs part.

Vegeta, I agree with you that the global elite class is pretty much scum through and through. I just simply cannot follow your logic on climate change, and though it might not seem like it to you, I do want to come to an understanding here because I'm sick of this thread (I had my fun now it's just tiring), plus I'm passionate about the environment and I think you're a good person who wants to do the right thing. And your side to this debate seems so clear to you that I just spent a few minutes trying to wrap my head around what it is that ties all of this conspiracy together for you.

So hear me out and explain this to me...

Are all scientists and journalists in on the lie? Are they working with rich and powerful people to deceive everyone? Or are they ignorant to this big lie, and the scientists conduct their research, and find with 97% agreement that human-induced climate change is occurring despite the fact that it most certainly isn't and it's just a big bankers' lie?

Also, are you saying the climate change narrative is orchestrated by bankers so that they can tax the rich and powerful energy corporations, thus weakening them and strengthening bankers' hold on wealth? Aren't energy bigwigs also in on the Bilderburger meetings? Is there a war playing out between these rich people? Cuz to me it seems they wage war only on the poor. One of my favorite quotes is by Gore Vidal, it goes something like "rich people don't need to meet behind closed doors to conspire because they all already think alike"

I don't wanna lose your trust/comfort with this last line: but really dude don't live in fear of rich and powerful people, it's a terrible rabbit hole to fall into and I know lots of people who have fallen victim to that. I can already see that from that distrust and fear you've passed it on to scientists (climate, evolutionary, probably more), journalists, seemingly all departments of the US government, and I'm sure others...

I still don't get what you're asking Vegeta. 97% agree (I said 99%). See, if we answer your questions you'll cry that it's a .gov website so I don't know what you want from us.

Continue to believe the liars that run our life and country?

The only people opposing climate change are paid by Koch brothers and others to defend oil/gas interests, you rotten hypocrite. I'm still not responding to your questions cuz I'm not reading those 50 articles you posted. If you have time to read 50 articles of bullshit go build a windmill

But you believe the lies. 1 Vegeta - Spanky 0
100% fact But you Spanky chose to believe the guy who relies on the money for his job.

I haven't read farther than this yet and I'm not going to continue yet (and too drunk/tired to address Vegeta's replies to my posts) but cmon man. He gets paid by the NYT so you can't believe anything he says? Fucking think about this. This is a huge publication with tons of readers. If he was publishing bullshit, there would be quite the backlash (like there is for big publications' propaganda articles on war and rich people and etc.) yet there's not really backlash, except from you?

We rely on people paid to write and do research. You rely on tinfoil hat writers. Hurr durr my great grandpa walk with dinosaur

Vegeta I could link you to just as many articles in support of climate change... "look up google" you say but what did you search? Climate change fraud? Climate change conspiracy?
