I'm using WINE to play, I don't know why it wouldn't run in linux but i'm glad it works in wine, thank you very much for your help

Change the download server in Assist client settings from Sourceforge to AAO25.com. Should provide full install with system folder.
when downloading the game, why do downloads come without the system folder?
