THx. I erased the aa3impact map from the maps directory but i still get the same windows with the same errors.... i also did what tht other dude said and changed the download source  from SF to AAO25 a few times but the same errors appear.

the verify install starts automatically when I launch the main GUI.

I am a AA3 player. I like to play 2.5 assit
I launch .exe game and try to browse server list to select a game ( Ive played before ) but i cant select deploy, it verifies the install files like normal but thn it gets hung up on the AA3 Impact map it seems like its trying to patch some type of AA3 maps and i keep getting these windows / errors

My guess is im missing some sort of texture or something, i don't see a directory included in the 2.5 zip..... i dont know where i could get copy's of the missing files to patch in the missing files... im not sure what the problem is but it launched fine a few days ago

im going to try this alt DL of assist and see if that replaces and fixes anything

There is nothing stopping you from playing a few sets like today, and opening your server like you just did. I think everyone had fun, except that the intensity taught us a lesson :( lol

Basically, the problem is not Windows or Linux as you say; the problem only comes from F12 when the admins choose the PBall card that is bugging.

Exactly, my friend, it's with Linux that it crashes. I tested with my 12 Linux servers by pressing F12 for the PBall map and all my servers crash. That's why Nick built me a PBall server to avoid having to go through F12.

I am On Linux and It does not crash when shooting the crates :). But the reason Its not crashing I think its because how I run the game through a compatability mode for windows programs. So technically Its "running through windows" :) As you say, It probably is going to crash on the Native Linux Version of the Game

falken64, it's the opposite, it doesn't crash with Windows. I am the owner of the PBall server. It only crashes when we go through F12, it always crashes when we shoot the crates. :)

It might be a windows system that wouldnẗ crash it. I am currently on Linux but to run this game I am using Steam and Adding the game as a Non-Steam Game and switching from the default compatibility setting to Proton 9.0-x and it works flawlessly. It doesn't crash when playing on the Pball map because technically I Would be playing this on Windows even tho Im on Linux. Maybe if it would crash when playing this on the Native Linux version that doesn't work on newer Linux distro's? Or does this only relate to the servers crashing?

Gunny PBall does not work on Linux only on windows, Nick created my PBall server with windows a long time ago.

You cannot choose the PBall map with F12 as it always crashes the server due to a bug, but on my PBall server you don’t have to go through F12, if you’re interested lol.

PBall only works on a Linux (I think) server. If it isn’t a Linux (I think) server, it will crash as soon as someone shoots one of the movable boxes or barrels. This is why I don’t switch to PBall when I do a rotation, even though I love PBall. Please correct me if it’s a Linux or Windows server that’s needed for PBall, I always get them mixed up. lol.
