I am sorry for picking out the reason he was banned lol.

Joe has never disputed any of it. And really it was my fault for turning off the other players because I was the one who told them how it was for using a first name and I showed them the thread that the admins later locked because I proved them wrong. That made the rest of oR decide this was a dictatorship and that's my bad, sorry guys. It was Joe who changed their minds by saying he deserved it but they still want to see him unbanned first.

We do play other games with Joe but I want us to play AA together.  And I would hope that we are all trying to bring on new players. I like you Gunman but you are valuing this grudge over the good of the game. It seems out of character when you imply you don't want new players who are 'Joebangers'. It's okay for people to be friends with people you don't like. I'd like to think we are friends. oR was steadily one of the best clans over a 8 year period. Do you really think that happens with players who don't love the game?

I am not sure why you are posting those ban appeals Gunman. Yaya has been good friends with Joe for at least 20 years. A good amount of oR still hangs out and with Joe being the noob that he is, he never mentioned that he still plays AA until confusion told us back in September. Epic, Scarface, and I were all immediately interested and decided to come back. I was the first to download but the next day Joe was banned for using a first name and Epic and Scarface said they didn't want to play after that although they have since recanted and said they will give it a try after Joe gets unbanned.

As I mentioned before, Johnny from Audigy/iog will also play with us and those guys all keep in contact a bunch of old AA players (Epic talks to like a 100 himself) so unbanning Joe could easily have a domino effect and lead to an AA renaissance so that we don't have nights that we have often had lately where our AA play is restricted of 1 hour of single digit players before everyone leaves. I am enjoying playing AA again but I would enjoy it more with more people especially with old friends.

Anyways, if he doesn't change, you can always ban him again and hopefully for a better reason than using someone's first name which I have seen many other people do, including admins.

PS I don't see any reference to you in that screenshot Gunny unless you refuse to apologize which is not my experience with you.

Ban Appeals / Re: Please consider unbanning Joe131

Joe retrieved the name from a public chat related to AA. So the name was already provided and it was already public which means there cannot be a expectation of privacy. And can you publicly provide something that is already publicly available? Perhaps, but it's debatable.

What isn't debatable is that using the exact definition of that Wikipedia quote means that it is doxxing to introduce a friend to other people at a party without getting their consent first.

But I think it is clear that neither situation falls under the intended meaning of doxxing.

Ban Appeals / Please consider unbanning Joe131

Like Yaya, I have also been playing with Joe for over 20 years. I had no idea that people still played this game until someone told me that Joe still played. I, like many others, came back to play with Joe only to find out that he was banned. Now as far as the insults go, sure. Whatever he he said was probably no worse than what he's said to me in the past but we live in a new politically correct world and Joe can learn to be more careful about insulting people during arguments.

But apparently he was banned for using someone's name which I find confusing. Doxxing is about making private personal information public. Generally our names are meant to be shared. Do Starbucks employees doxx their customers when they call out their name to pick up their drink order? If I go to Starbucks and give them Joe's name then am I doxxing Joe?
