Bug Reports / Re: Keep getting Lag spikes

What's your advice? Get better fans?

I edited the post above, my advice is get a desktop pc to play on, you can build a very decent one with used parts for a fraction of what a laptop would cost (if you can afford it and if you don't strictly need a gaming laptop...which i doubt  anyway). You might save money for a good display (something which would cost you a lot on a laptop and still isn't very common).

If you ever happen to open up a laptop and take a look at the interiors you might get a hint of why they get that hot so easily, the cooling system is usually built at the very limit of their possibilites, which ideally might be correct if you're not using a laptop to play a lot (small fans spinning at high speeds kill comfort), not to mention the psu part (depending on your laptop manifacturer you might get a decent psu or a poor one). While time pass by the small fans and fins of those laptop systems get clogged with dust and that reduces cooling potential, so you end up having to clean the system or add other cooling tools.

Agree 100%. I think far more people would have been caught if this was allowed to run quietly for at least 2 weeks.

I wouldn't think so.

Cheaters should be bashed.

I disagree, bashing someone for something wrong he has done doesn't make it any better and doesn't add any positive discussion to these forums (which already had way too many of em) and for the same reason i hate to have to lock a thread because it has derailed completely or it has gone into flames/insults . I'm pretty sure there are loads of other forums or newsgroups where you can bash em, this is not the best place for it.

I see a fair deal of 2.8.5 Uscript that handles AI.

Perhaps, after I finish the SAI, I can look into bringing CoOp to Assist?
No Promises.

That would be awesome!

You guys probably don't remember it or better yet, haven't heard of it but when mAAp was on version 5 I got a hold of the "Army Strong" song from the same guy that made the AA sound track. I thought it was a pretty cool alternative. Have a listen:

The original AA2 soundtrack posted by Clown.ing feels really nostalgic, but i like this one way more, they should've kept it up to 2.8.5 imho.  :style:

Should I turn off the "Classic" Compass that is showing at the top when the SAI is used?

Great job!  :D I would say the compass won't be needed anymore.

Which "entity" does this stand for?

In aa4 the pronebug is back

Hmm i don't think the animation is as fast as on AA2. Overall the animations are more "fluid" than AA3, and to be honest i haven't seen so many people trying that kind of thing, you can just move and cover faster instead of going prone (imho).

now add zombies.

Yep, the atmosphere feels similar to some Killing Floor maps (like KF-Farm), i like that. Nice job!

how and what is aa2.8.5 Editor

It's the public missione editor available along with version 2.8.5 of the game. You can use it to build and play those maps on that specific version only (which anyway features some interesting goodies). Using the editor requires a bit of an understanding of how the editor works, there are many good tutorials around which might be worthy to take a look to get started.

When you pressed that key 'enemy spotted' and looked at a location, your friends could see that red point right?

Of course, but it's just a report, and it will vanish after a few seconds if i recall correctly. In that regard, Proving Grounds offers a nice voice chat, it's really fun to communicate by voice and it really makes a difference, tactics wise.

I don't know what some of you guys here are smoking... But whatever it is, stop it.
Reset all honor? Why don't you format your computer, just for fun? Because, who needs backups and "documents"?

Furthermore all of you ALREADY MADE HONOR RESETS a million times, how ?
high honor twat always loooooved to make noob accounts and hear real noobs say :
"DAMN, YOU'RE GOOD !". It's not that bad is it ?  ;)

O.o i am quite speechless. To me, "honour" points as a value don't really mean a lot by theirselves, even if i understand the appeal of having an higher number next to your name...still by your reactions it seems you care about it more than what it's really worth for. I've played games where the ingame level actually serves up to a purpose all around , and even there i think i've never seen so much debate over a number than isn't representative of your skill, but just something similar to a rank insignia.
