« on: Friday, December 23, 2016, 14:56:13 PM »Its explained in the first post, it's used to make porting maps from 2.8.5 to 2.5 an easier and cleaner process, by matching names between the 2 versions (because, yes unfortunately the filenames happen to be different in a few different ways, as far as I can remember).From what I remember, the packages were named differently... for whatever reason.

Usually what this means is that you logged in at either a different network or just a long time ago (on a dynamic IP connection). The problem should (in most cases) solve itself when closing Assist and logging back in.
Does the problem arise each and every time you try?
Are you using some kind of VPN or proxy? I know someone had this kind of problem in such a case.

Considering AA2.5 was released before that (don't really know when exactly, but Linux/Mac support was dropped in 2006) I'd say it should be able to run it (not great, but it should at least try).
You could try and run AA without Assist, see if that works (I think Ronski might know a way to unpack the app or do I remember incorrectly?).
Another thing you could try to pinpoint the error would be to run the game from a commandline (it helped me get mine working on my Ubuntu).
Other than that, I'm out of ideas, really.

I see you're using a Mac. I've never owned one personally so I don't quite know how things work on there.
Did 25Assist download AA for you (it's an 11 step process and takes at least 10 minutes, I believe)?
If possible, try running Assist as administrator/superuser.
I hope someone more familiar with macs will be able to help you further.

bravha the only thing that you just SHOULD not do when playing comp is simply not playing.. we understand that you have a busy life and need to afk randomly.. but that affects every1 else in the server negatively and ruins everything for everyone.. even if it just a round..

Bravha has gone idle multiple times during scrims and being able to play the whole map is one of the few requirements for scrimming. For most people they would be kicked out but we all like you Bravha so we still try to fit you in on occasion. Come on tonight

Or when I go to the park and people are playing soccer, they all get mad when I jump into their game and start kicking the ball around for fun.
