Bug Reports / smoke through glass

hey, i noticed on MOUT mckenna, I was lower blue and there was a bunch of smoke between bravo n alpha, and when crouched, can see smoke (no glass on bottom half of window) but when i stood up, and looked through glass (top half of window), noticed you cant see smoke grenades, could see crystal clear between alpha and bravo.

not sure if its just mckenna, but might wanna test it on other maps too.

Has to be tracked on battle tracker. Your honor is 100% from tracker, where all the information is saved.

you can play on an untracked server, pretty much playing on an 'unofficial' back in the day.

square's overrated imo. Theres a tunnel system nobody even uses, but if you take obj B, ppl at spawn will hear about it... other than that, 4 gaurd towers surround a tall building.

This maap is badass... I freaken love the sandstorm effect, forcing most battles to be cqb.... and less gettin shot from across the map. I also like the added buildings.... and just wanted to say thanks for the time put into all this...

love that you put in ranger m4's, and not any sf bs... just awesome map. all in all.

n i dont say this about most things (movies, games ect) but urban assault se is better than the orginial imo.

who created this maap? whoever it is has a twisted sense of humor with that insurgent lookin guy hanging from the rope ;D

anyways, thanks again had an awesome time playing with a bunch of people on spankys server, and thanks spanky for givin me admins (:

I for one love the gameplay and play style of 2.5, quicker movements.

I dont miss co-op or the slower reacting movements and i dont miss the radar either. (compass ftw)

all i 'kinda' miss about 2.8.5 is flashes were basically jokes when used out-doors.... which was nice :)

thats it. only thing 2.8.5 had over 2.5.

so thanks for bringing 2.5 back alive! i agree, we should have one 2.x version of aao, the less this game is divided the more players we will have.

I cant PROVE that he didnt download a hacked aao...i'll admit it sounds sketchy, but if i was that guy that downloaded aao with a hack already in it, and got perma banned, well that would suck... the thing is, you cant prove his story is bullshit, only assume.

i can see each and every square aswell, but i agree with mans, i like darker backgrounds over bright ones. just personal preference, feels easier on my eyes.

Hi Guys! I've just installed AA on a fresh ubunu os. But I can't bring it up to start. After clicking a server, a can see for a short moment the AA Logo. Thats it. Any idea?

The problem with pball legitimately is Windows vs Linux. Pball uses directX for the physics, which is owned by Microsoft and doesn't run on Linux. I say this as a Linux stan that hasn't used Windows regularly in years. :P

Basically, the problem is not Windows or Linux as you say; the problem only comes from F12 when the admins choose the PBall card that is bugging.

Exactly, my friend, it's with Linux that it crashes. I tested with my 12 Linux servers by pressing F12 for the PBall map and all my servers crash. That's why Nick built me a PBall server to avoid having to go through F12.

I am On Linux and It does not crash when shooting the crates :). But the reason Its not crashing I think its because how I run the game through a compatability mode for windows programs. So technically Its "running through windows" :) As you say, It probably is going to crash on the Native Linux Version of the Game

It might be a windows system that wouldnẗ crash it. I am currently on Linux but to run this game I am using Steam and Adding the game as a Non-Steam Game and switching from the default compatibility setting to Proton 9.0-x and it works flawlessly. It doesn't crash when playing on the Pball map because technically I Would be playing this on Windows even tho Im on Linux. Maybe if it would crash when playing this on the Native Linux version that doesn't work on newer Linux distro's? Or does this only relate to the servers crashing?

Gunny PBall does not work on Linux only on windows, Nick created my PBall server with windows a long time ago.

PBall only works on a Linux (I think) server. If it isn’t a Linux (I think) server, it will crash as soon as someone shoots one of the movable boxes or barrels. This is why I don’t switch to PBall when I do a rotation, even though I love PBall. Please correct me if it’s a Linux or Windows server that’s needed for PBall, I always get them mixed up. lol.
