In fact it was a little to warm for my tastes today. I got really sweaty while skating.

Hardware/Software / IBM 380D repair
« on: Tuesday, February 01, 2011, 09:58:11 AM »
Ive had this laptop for about a year and moved right after I got it so its been in box. I found the box it was in last week and started to mess around and see whats wrong with it. I got it for free cause its broken. Ive been getting an error code every time I try to boot and I tracked down the message to a bios battery error. So the next thing to do is get a new battery (some time today) and see if it will boot.

This thing sounds great. My only peeve is that its not going to use SD cards... Sony once again making you buy proprietary memory cards to use their crap.. I mean the PS3 has SD slots and loads of other slots. SD is the standard and Sony needs to get with it. The stats on this are impressive, my only worry is it might get hot. All that power in a hand held. The res on the screen is awesome, but in this day of HD I think this would probably sell better if it was at least 720p.

Ive got one stop motion film planned that I'm going to do in super 8. I just need to find film and a projector.
Edit: I did find that the buttons for zooming don't work but that's fine as I prefer to zoom with the zoom ring any ways.
O.o mom says we might have an old super 8 projector in a box some where. I just finished re doing the entire garage....and now I have to take it apart to find this supposed projector...crap.

I found my super8 camera! I'm not sure if it still works but I'm stoked. Super8 is really awesome. I'll take some pics of it when I'm not working but its a Minolta XL601. It worked when it was packed up, (almost 10 years ago) so I'm hoping it still does.
Video some one did with the same camera:
