There's nothing that i can do to save the drive ?You can try using fdisk and might delay what will happen for a little while but the hard drive gods have called your drive back and it will soon be returning to a land far away.
Sorry but I just had to. And drives wear out just like any other mechanical device and it sounds as if your drive has went it course.How do i insert a picture ?Well without seeing the picture I can tell you your hard drive is failing from what you stated

That's all true, but... jumping is fun!
Problem is this game was designed on slower systems and now that the dev team has added new maps that require new textures and more processing power and memory needed to play there will be issues. Might as well play AA3 now. At the beginning of this project and complaints later on about the mods and such where shot down by many people and to a point where it almost ended the project. Decisions where made to keep the games to it original state, look where we are now. JSThough short of getting my hands on his laptop to check it out I can say his problem should have nothing to do with the changes because it had been playing fine up till around the 18th of December and the game had no changes at that time and of course it can't be the latest changes to the game since they just came out and his troubles started close to three weeks ago. I know people probably think I am full of shit but with what info there has been given, I still think it could be memory related. 64 bit windows and if other programs are trying to run in the back ground, even though it's believed nothing is, and being a laptop with a hard drive starting to fail wouldn't it be safe to say that the physical memory could have a stick that had been intermittently acting up from say getting way to hot before now and is being noticed now due to the condition of it getting worse? I would be willing to lay odds that heat is what is causing the deterioration of the hard drive simply because I have repaired two laptops not to long ago that hard drives failed in and one was for sure heat related. It was getting so hot you couldn't leave your hands on the keyboard. Temps were running 110-112 C just browsing the web. I took it apart and it had nothing restricting the air flow so I removed the cpu and spent 25 or so minutes getting all the old rock hard thermal paste off and put a dab of good old arctic on there and temps dropped to 57-78 C. Heat is a silent killer some times and with a laptop everything is in very close quarters and if the wife, girlfriend or who ever happens to set it down on the bed with the fan opening blocked, it doesn't take long to start ruining things. Just the ramblings from a Iowa farmer.
Then you have to be very lucky. I think in real life, you can go prone and shoot same time but you will have no accuracy at all. Same ingame. So maybe one time out of thousand you'll be able to kill someone like thatYou can but you risk tearing yourself and your equipment up while dropping, but if your ass is on the line with the adrenaline pumping and some nut looking at you like he is wanting to cut part of you off and shove it somewhere else just for the hell of it after he shoots you I doubt you will feel the fall at all. In real life you have way better chance at least of hitting your target going prone before you could ever jump sideways around a corner and head shoot the enemy as your feet hit the ground as happens a lot in AA. Even knowing pretty much where they are you still don't know for sure if standing. crouched, prone or if they have some sort of cover.
