Your account has existed since 2004, there's nothing to activate.

I went ahead and unbanned your HWID. You should be able to play now.

oh my god thank you, i thought maybe someone just really didnt like me :p

any idea of when this could be resolved so i can play again?  :style:
Sorry, I don't know how long it will take, but hopefully soon. I'm waiting on staff more knowledgeable than me with the anti-cheat system to get on and talk about it. :)

Sorry, no.
Do you know anyone who might have one? I have a feeling AA just doesn't like your keyboard, and there isn't much we can do about it until we know if that's true or not.

Your HWID currently matches the HWID of this user: http://battletracker.com/playerstats/aao/783064/
whose BTID is banned for a multihack.

This is an odd situation as the originally banned user, who played under the name "SoNiC;" his IP is from Germany. Then there is a log in attempt today for the exact same BT account under the changed name "CLutcH" from Arkansas. Seems like someone gave their banned AA account away. Either way, the HWID he used matches yours and it was banned after it was discovered the account was a banned BT account.

However, this seems like a bug/glitch, as clutch was trying to log-in from Arkansas and you are in Canada. I doubt you could get your computer to Arkansas in less than a day. :P It looks like you were just unlucky and I'll see what we're supposed to do, as this isn't as simple as it seems. Just sit tight and sorry for the inconvenience.

wow really i thought we as the community had this up for vote and was decided perm ban for any ahk users, now without no notice to any of us players this has changed ???

It was a permanent ban, but that has been adjusted. One week is the policy now because you can't even play with it open. It's similar to a cvar.

so i can install ahk  and get only a 1 week ban?
ok headsup: i will test that shit somewhere next week, just to check it out
We reserve the right to upgrade any punishment when we feel necessary, like when someone acknowledges the rules but does it anyways. :P

It's a 1 week ban because you can't actually play with it. You will get kicked before you can play anything.

So we recently started the policy of a week ban for auto hot key. For any autohotkey ban before this policy was in place we wait for appeals to undo them. You should be unbanned now.

Just understand that autohotkey is cheating, trying to get an unfair advantage over the competition.

That's an odd way of saying "thanks for keeping aa2 alive with authorization, tracking, and anti cheat!" So ungrateful.

News / Re: AA2 Development roadmap
« on: Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 00:47:02 AM »
After 30 mins of reading this  old thread I understand the need for the source code. I know the "Government Property" is the biggest hurdle in getting the source code, and as mentioned by the Dev who wrote back.."it would be faster to code 2.9 from scratch"..

Is it possible to consider buying the source code from them? I mean its an asset that they no longer need and maybe they might consider selling this particular asset.

Also... i understood we need coders, why not actually code 2.9? We can start a campaign on kickstarter? I honestly think that the community would get alot more exposure and that its possible to raise enough necessary to hire coders to create a new game in its entirety. These are just some ideas that i wanted to throw out there. I dont think setttling for what we got is enough. After all the work you guys put in, you as a community deserve more then 200 active players . To make it worth your work and effort, why not find a way to move forward?

The U.S. Army is not going to sell the source code to anyone. They're not going to put a game bearing the America's Army name in hands that they can't control. You also have to factor in that in order to do any work with the code we would need to license the Unreal Engine, which is very expensive.
Plus, we're not exactly in good standing with the people that would make that decision anyways. "Settling for what we have" is pretty much our only option at this point. The goal is to keep AA2 alive and make improvements on it.

As the person that modified weaponpicker, I can confirm that as of right now it works - without honor of course.  My suspicion is that people (admins) voted out mods because they were tired of seeing people populate those servers vs coming to a regular (their) server.  Players, 'pro' or not, can always choose where they want to play.  Mods were not forced upon 'pro' players at all.  82nd's pipeline with weaponpicker was extremely popular.  We also ran regular servers.  Our only agenda was about seeing what players liked and had nothing to do with cheating the honor system.  I can see some truth in that 'pro' players were 'disappointed' with the mod players, and I think a bias exists here but really,  I think the 'pro' players were not willing to sit in a server and get it populated with other 'pro' players to keep their own servers populated.  Of course the players that liked the modded servers never got on here and voted on it, and so now you have this community, not a majority of players.  Which is fine I guess, since they're the ones actively keeping the game alive.  In the end, game/server popularity won't come from allowing or banning mods.  It comes down to having active, enjoyable admins manning the servers, which is why I think your idea of using a mod forceclassing for players isn't the best solution.  The best solution is to have admins in the server actively playing and doing this, and not all the time.
Disabling tracking for modded servers wasn't about server population as much as it was about how you can easily use a mod to abuse the stat system. While it's true that some people were frustrated with the popularity of the ridiculous "pick a weapon" servers (including myself), the decision was ultimately done to protect the integrity of the stats system.

mods are not .exe files dumbo :)
ultimate.u
pickermain.u
..... and so on..
lol. I've seen a lot of people get kicked for mod .exe files in their game folders (i.e. weaponPicker.exe, ultimate.exe) stuff like that. I know next to nothing about unreal mods, which is why I started my last post with "I think." :P
