Wild. That area doesn't look as dark to me lol. Movers (doors) are lighted weird but maybe I need to just move the zone portal so that the doors are inside that dark room as a zone so it uses that light. I knew there was some grass inside but it shouldn't be seen since all inside rooms are not terrain zones so terrain shouldn't be seen inside those areas but... obviously that failed. I've made several changes since the build here so I'll probably fix your bugs and do a few other things then upload it. Thanks.

It can work online but I'm not releasing it for that. FPS online will be higher than offline due to the cameras not replicating online (which is a good thing). I have a couple model-type things for you to do delta if you have more free time :)

Well... Part of the agreement was that he provide proof that he is in the clan and that the clan is still active. He's not on the roster but his profile says "America's Army Leader" here: http://1clickgaming.net/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=9 and he was online today. I'd say that I win the bet. He hasn't provided proof and isn't on the roster. Either he's not in the clan or the clan is lazy or inactive enough to not put people on the roster. So... explain thor?

Games & Programming / Startup programs with low thread priority
« on: Monday, March 01, 2010, 02:09:21 AM »
I started using this for Rainmeter since at times it can get a bit CPU intensive when I really need those cycles for games and whatnot. I googled and googled and found a few switches that can be done. Basically, make a txt file in the directory of the program, paste the following code in the text, save it, rename it to startup.bat. It's pretty simple and works good.

My rainmeter.bat is located here:C:\Program Files\Rainmeter and has the following text:
Code: [Select]
cmd /c start /low Rainmeter.exeOf course replace "Rainmeter" with whatever program you are going to use.

Hardware/Software / Playstation 2 Controller Pinout
« on: Sunday, February 28, 2010, 21:51:06 PM »
This is mostly for my future reference but in case anyone else would ever need it, here it is. I looked around online and tried a pinout that seemed to be correct, at least the first 2 pins were so I didn't bother testing the rest... well, it didn't work. Today I looked around more and there's pinouts with different color wires too. I found nothing that was what I needed. Mine is a OEM Sony Playstation 2 controller and I have a cheapie RadioShack PS2 to USB converter, which recently started crapping out at the connection so I decided to solder the PS2 controller wire directly to the converter's PCB. This is what I found out:

Going by this page:
http://pinouts.ru/Game/playstation_9_pinout.shtml
1: Brown, 2: Orange, 3: Purple, 4: Black + Ground, 5: Red, 6: Yellow, 7: Blue, 8: nothing, 9: Green

Works perfectly :)

I took some screenshots to use as my desktop image, if you're looking for HD shots off the map you can check these out. The link is in the original post. It's over 50MB and I'm uploading a heap of shit so it should be uploaded after 4pm PST.

*EDIT*
It's done uploading.

Just happened to come across this on YouTube and holy crap I got the chills. It looks great (<3 the lighting) and looks like it could have a great storyline. It's also made by Ubisoft which is a big plus.

Games & Programming / Homefront
« on: Sunday, February 28, 2010, 02:03:28 AM »
This game is made by the same company that made Frontlines: Fuel of War which I absolutely loved. This game will use UE3 as well. By the looks of it, I fully expect it to be a more US Soil-based version of MW2 with better gameplay. Anyway, on with the info:

Quote
Homefront is set in a near future America in 2027 when a now-nuclear armed Korean People's Army invades the USA, defeating the United States Army and reducing it to nothing from the superpower it once was. The game is written by John Milius the writer of Apocalypse Now and Red Dawn. The beginning gameplay is reportedly set in Montrose, Colorado.

I've updated it again. Build: 02262010. Use the same link in the original post. I would like some feedback on the hanging lights in Main Pump Room. I found a new corona that looks better than the old one (still found in North Pump Room) and it also does the job of 2 coronas which lowers CPU usage which raises FPS. I don't know how it happened or what I changed but I jumped from 16 to 45 FPS in some areas. So, which is liked better, Main Pump Room's hanging lights or North Pump Room's hanging lights?

Read the Change Log and To Do in the main post before playing the map.

Remove un-necessary BSP marked as "Clip"

:) I also saw the face wall but I forgot it was there. I need to remember to "Select None" before browsing textures lol. The railings, I'm like in the process of seeing if it's worth it to remove collision on them and just use playerblocks. Removing collision entirely means bullets go through it but it also means better load times and better fps, I'm on the fence about it. Bullets shouldn't matter too much since the railing isn't huge but I don't know.
