What "small details" aren't being solved? We won't create new maps, we've already tripled the number of maps versus a stock 2.5 install and very few people play the additional maps.

ACU should be used as it's the current standard. Camo in this game doesn't play a large role. There are no recon missions where you need to be hidden. It just doesn't work like that. Even if there were, people would just bind gamma and make their screens almost white just to see you.

This was back when our ONLY detection for UnrealBot was screenshots. There was no GUI in-game so PB screenshots were useless and at the time, we didn't have any other methods of detection. Without Assist screenshots, there would be many more hackers in Assist and the hack makers would still be making hacks.

It's a clear case of "Damned if you do, damned if you don't"

There has never been a more appropriate quote about this game and it's community.

I don't expect thousands of players will play this game but it would be great to get back to 200-300 or even 500 online at once.

The feature that allows screenshots to be taken has been removed from Assist v8.15. The update is scheduled to happen in the next several hours.

widow, that's great that you don't like spamming. I wish many more players were like you. The sad fact is, many players do spam to get cheap kills without any skill. That is the problem we are trying to address. The simplest way to do that is to remove the weapon that can be spammed. That is a solution, and the one being used right now but it's not the best solution. Personally, I would like to see global spam settings that prevent grenade/203 spam for 15-20 seconds at round start (maybe longer, we have to test).

We're not trying to dumb down the game or ignore people and do what we want. We're trying to make the game better. You don't do that by sitting still, that's how things die. Just like in life, you learn and improve. We're trying to fix issues inherent in the game that the original devs did not bother with due to time/budget constraints. These ARE problems, we just need to find an elegant way to solve them to keep everybody happy.
