Sounds cool because I haven't seen anything like this before.

That's what makes me think it might be cool. It would mostly need a lot of php and mysql knowledge to happen, basic stuff that can be learned pretty easily. I wonder how we could learn if there's a demand for it without giving ideas to other people...

I think this is one of those things where you really have to know what you're doing and can take a lot of time to get started. Both of which I have no real desire to do. I mean, I COULD learn the stock market. Plus, I think you need to know and spam a lot of people. I'm sure it's right for some people, probably not me though. Basically it seems like more direct advertising, I have Google for that (even though I don't get paid shit).

:) That's what matters. I have some leaded solder, I put it in a bag with other misc lead bits that I'm gonna take to hazmat or something whenever I go.

:) It is fun when you know how to do it properly (took me a while to figure that out). Just remember to ventilate. I realize your financial situation my not allow it but, for future reference, here's "the best" solder you can get: http://cgi.ebay.com/WBT-Lead-Free-SILVER-SOLDER-3-8-10-feet-/200460663117?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eac62f94d#ht_500wt_1154

It's thin stuff and because of that it may be more expensive than other lead-free silver solder but WBT is like top dog and loved for audio and works for any other application. In my experience, 10 feet lasts quite a while for doing misc random projects. My first 10 feet lasted me about a year but it was thicker than the WBT.

I hate to take the spotlight away from Blueblaster's topic (which you should read as well) but I had an idea. Quite simply, "Sensible Clocks" (.net). The idea is that there seems to be a lot of noise around pushing computer speeds to the max, no matter the condition. There is an untapped market for ranking sensible overclocks. This is would be the area between stock speed and I-need-.2v-more-for-10MHz speed. Something that allows you to get a ton more performance without seriously degrading your hardware and creating un-necessary heat.

The basic ideas would be as follows:
volts (under load) to GHz/MHz ratio - every architecture would be separated
temperature at load (ambient temp is then subtracted to give a # that can be ranked)

We could then have a section about how far can you go on stock voltages and such.

I'm kind of drawing a blank now after my idea explosion but I think this is something to run with. I know not everyone here gets a hard-on from looking at n00d computers but there's graphics and coding to think about. Thoughts?

*EDIT*
Ideas and Goals:

~Name(s)
Clockforclock
clockingforeverydayuse
SensibleClock
CareClock (first domain would probably be .co.cc and CareClock.co.cc has a nice ring)

~Features
Ranking via the following:
TrueTemp (full load temp minus ambient room temp), mV/GHz ratio (different section for every class, revision and stepping), Highest overclock on stock voltage

Money? What? Where? DO WANT! I might be interested since I have time to invest. I don't see many details though and before I read through those 3 links, I have some questions. What is affiliate marketing? How is it done? What does it require?

Multi-gigabit, it's about time. Wireless is catching up but wired is still by far better, I wonder if that will ever change, especially in the consumer market.

Yea, they're "better" than a Logitech gaming product. It may sound overdramatic but I'm so lost as to what to do for a keyboard. I had 2 Microsoft Natural Elite PS/2 ones, fried one and now I'm using the older clunky one. I want one of the new ones (7000 or something) but seeing that there's nicer and longer lasting ones out there, I'm not sure what to do. I'm 100% used to the split layout and as far as I can tell, Microsoft is the only one that provides it. I get flustered and say to hell with it, the one I have works. Same with my mouse :( Anyway, thanks for the link, it will help broaden my view :)

I'm not a game coder or maths genius but I don't see how that ties in. I mean, I get the 15 monitors and a 24 degree angle but there's 1 camera, not 15 cameras.

Yea, that's what I thought. It's on a regular DDR2 desktop mid-range motherboard. I do have screenshots of Everest that show differences, I'll post them later. I even ran it a few times to see if there was a program loading heavy on RAM or something and it came back the same each time.

I agree with Dann up and to the point of saying leave this community. You're more than welcome to stay, everybody is. I won't flame your posts or show (much) disgust towards you. You came into my thread with a related statement that focuses attention towards yourself and, in my opinion, lies. I'm sure you won't but, again, feel free to stay.

Dann, you didn't hi-jack. Alex already took care of that.

About the only credible thing you said in that whole paragraph was:
using a program similar to XSAN.
That was still pretty vague and useless since XSAN is a file system for sharing storage. Anyway, the whole basis that my argument is on is that I was assuming you were using Windows to game, not a flavor of Apple. That's probably why you used 1 of 5 games that run on Apple instead of a more enjoyable newer title (assuming you actually did do this). My lack of knowledge towards Apple products doesn't mean that I'll automatically believe you. In any event, why would you need to move the mouse and keyboard and chair around? It's not like the center camera view moves to another monitor. It would seem like looking over your shoulder would be a good option. Speaking of which, no mention on how you fixed FOV issues?

Related, but not, you may wonder why I can be such a cold hearted asshole. Well, I got tired of you and where your project was going so we eventually stopped talking. Then, out of nowhere, you come here (yea, I know Delta invited you and I'm ok with that) but you came and started talking to everyone again for the sole purpose of recruiting people for you next failure of a project. When you did that, my respect for you reached an all-time low. Then the unbelievable thing happened: I remembered why I didn't like you. You try to brag about everything and try to +1 everybody to the point that it's annoying, again, respect reached another low. Ever wonder why I don't message you? I removed you from my "buddy list" many many months ago and when you came back, I didn't add you again, so even if I did want to message you, I have no way of doing that unless I add you again or unless you message me first.

I couldn't care about proof. Not much in your story seems plausible. Not to mention you're not defending any of my comments aside from "I'm not bull shitting Spanky." as well as a lack of description in what you claim to have done. That and half a dozen other conversations with questionable content leads me to believe you're full of it.
