Everything we've ever done on this community has been computer/game related. Its amazing.

I like the sound of careclock.co.cc
Maybe InteliClock?

Well, we are using computers and we all do play games :) I kind of like InteliClock but it sounds a bit Microsoft-ish.

We could use you Dann :) But, probably not right away unless you want to help with PHP and ideas. Speaking of which, I edited the main post with a few tidbits.

Hardware/Software / Re: Memory Speed: 2 vs 4 sticks (or more)
« on: Tuesday, June 01, 2010, 00:56:29 AM »
I just verified that all 4 sticks use the Promos 90nm chip. There's no difference in any of the sticks, dual channel is enabled on 2 or 4 sticks. This is showing that there's an actual difference.

:P In seriousness though, I think a plan is needed. But I would still like to see more interest.

Knight, Blue, is this something you both have a decent amount of interest in? It would be nice to see some more support or at least acknowledgement... I frequently talk with this guy known as Freak (he taught me epic wisdom for my setup) and he says it would be a good idea that he would support. This isn't something that should be rushed, it would need to be feature rich and slick before released to the public.

lol, the stock market was an analogy. I could take the time to learn this just as I could take the time to learn the stock market. Both have the potential to be lucrative.

Games & Programming / [How To] Make a bootable USB Drive
« on: Monday, May 31, 2010, 14:31:47 PM »
This is great for flashing a BIOS or running various DOS programs. This How-To is stolen and modified from http://www.biosflash.com/bios-boot-usb-stick.htm

Download:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/464376/headshot/Downloads/USB_Boot.7z

Extract "USB_Boot.7z" to your desktop.
Run "HP_USB_Boot_Utility.exe" and install the program, a shortcut will be made on your Desktop.
Running the program will look like this:

As a file system, we choose FAT-32 and put a checkmark next to Create a DOS startup disk.
Now give the path to the unzipped folder (usbdos folder on your desktop).
Finally, click on Start and wait for the program to format the USB stick and copy the operating system files.
Now it is bootable! You can drop all kinds of DOS programs on it to run. You may have to edit some BIOS options in order to boot from a USB drive.

*EDIT*
Forgot the download link. :P

I've never seen anything on this before and I just googled. I think most people (like myself) would think that RAM running at the same speed, it wouldn't matter if it was 2 or 8 sticks, it would all be the same speed. I see a lot of discussion about 2 sticks being easier to overclock and less stressful on a northbridge than 4 sticks. As well as 2 sticks using less power than 4 but nothing about benefits of using 4 sticks.
