Lead would probably be the top thing in this piece of electronics that would make it non-RoHS. It's commonly used in soldier due to low melting temperatures and cost. Silver is more expensive and takes more heat to melt (although existing soldering equipment is more than capable to melt it). Silver solder is great for audio and works perfectly fine in other electronics, there's no reason NOT to use it aside from the whole "money" issue.
Anyway, I'll update the thread. I've been talking a lot with Ryan (owner) and he said the first production batch will be created in the middle of this month so maybe he will have used the silver solder. I will bring it up with him again to see what his real intentions are.
