Background Checks / Can you check this guy?
« on: Friday, February 05, 2016, 08:32:55 AM »
http://battletracker.com/playerstats/aao/542791/Cpt.Alen/

I dont normally start such topics and I very rarely even suspect that someone has something weird going on, but Im curious about this one.

To make it clear, Im not accusing him of cheating nor believe he is, Im just curious. I know only one player in this game who shoots as accurately, whom I will not name. This guy has shot me and many others with 1-2 bullets headshots through smoke many times, and especially in long and middle range he gets me with 1-2 bullets/bursts headshots even while Im moving and in such weird situations like when I quickly show up and try to hide again when he cannot know from where I will show up in long range..

He can be just super lucky with super quick reflexes of course, its just rare in this scale. But he doesnt seem to be good player, at least his tactics dont seem to be best and way he moves.

The answer was joining related, but good that you fixed it. That ping thing is new for me, if for others it work well. What if you ping/trace route the server from host/whatever you use to check the ping, does it give normal ping?

What is that computer that you have that you can put such resources for vmware?

Anyway check your vmware virtual network settings that it surely uses your nat, and multihome settings in servers ini file if needed (dunno if vmware virtual network adapter is counted as second network adapter)

Also OS firewall on both, host and vmware.

Have you tried to run assist as admin?

With some memory things it can be just any random error and doesnt necessarily come up in everything.

But yeah, gfx testing could be good also.

Troubleshooting is anyway closing out things to find the problem.

Ok, good :) this was just a part of troubleshooting, because those ram things can cause weird issues.

Oh btw, is it long time ago you installed those rams? You should try to remove those rams, blow possible dust away from sockets or how you call them in english and put them back.

Also before that you could do some memory test which puts some load on them and seeks for memory errors.

Sometimes ram installations can cause random instability if installed to wrong channels. Sometimes everything else works but something random happens. Sometimes rams can be incompatible with each other. I mostly buy totally identical rams to prevent incompatibility, but it wouldnt be needed to be so strict.

Hows your set? How many ram slots do you have? How many units?

If for example you have 4 ram slots, you have most probably two channels. If you have two pieces of ram, they can be installed wrongly. Often the slots/channels are in this order: a1 b1 a2 b2. Two rams should be in a1 and a2. Sometimes even color codes arent standard. Checking the mobo manual helps in that :)

Does the same happen if in assist video settings you untick full screen and try windowed mode?

What about the game resolution settings? Are they same than OS resolution?

You got those values while playing americas army or while your computer was "resting"? You should check it when playing aa online.

I would say that its definately hw/driver issue, but as you have tried different drivers, it seems it could be hw related.

Download some program to monitor your temperatures, hardware monitor or speedfan and check it out when you get that black screen by alt+tabbing if you can do that.

Yes, you wrote it doesnt happen with other games. It still can be overheating etc. Even while it happens with just one game.

I googled for this and seems that many people have had this kind of issue with just certain game and most of those topics include the suspicion for overheating (in answers.)

Katsos ihmeessä ne lämpötilat :)

Hmm. You should maybe uninstall your gfx driver and as Teddy said, install newest (or try older ones if that doesnt work)

Have you checked fullscreen box in assist settings > video? If not, you should give it a try, because at least for me there comes a certain error if it just looks like full screen, but isnt. And if some error doesnt throw me out of the game, it can act like that.

Just yesterday opened again a laptop that had slowdowns and freezes. Checked this time temps just because I was thinking about this topic. Temps were 56c when not doing anything, 63-65c when opening a news website. Also fan was loud.

After cleaning and applying new paste (which was AGAIN messed up like until now with most older laptops) the temperature went down about with 10 celcius. In rest 45c - 48c, opening the same news website 49c-54c and fan was very quiet. Also the computer worked much quicker and didnt freeze at all :) it is intel cpu. With amd I believe the temp wouldt go down so much but still it would help even then.

I would still recommend doing what I told.. minimum that opening and cleansing, even if not applying the new paste. 65c is  very high temp with intel cpu.
