I'd applaud you but Killaman told me this and I'm curious as to why he didn't post it. But, thanks for taking the time to post it here

For the past few months, I've been updating a thread on another site with content. Basically, it takes information from a 100-page thread and condenses it into 1 post. I just finished revising it and I'm amazed at how awesome it looks. I defy you to find a more helpful and organized thread.

Overheating definitely makes sense but, while I haven't seen every OEM computer there is, none of the ones I have seen "beep" when they get too hot. But yea, ignore my recommendation, and stress it. Instead of superpi, I would recommend OCCT Linpack:

It will heat up quick and stop if it gets too hot. If you can go 5-10 minutes, it's probably not overheating. If you can run it the whole hour, it's definitely not overheating.

Ode to the Burby: a retired Forest Service rig, a 1992 Chevy Suburban, a family member that has been there AND done that.

It's been a rock-solid vehicle and after 10 years of use after it's retirement, has only just now started to need a little work. About 4 years ago, it had a tune-up and a few things done before the trip to Idaho. It got a new muffler, synthetic oil and tune-up for the tranny, brake job, new shocks, a o-ring for the driveline, just little stuff. A few months back, it needed a new power steering pump, water pump, oil cooler lines, and a new intake manifold gasket. The other day the alternator needed new bearings and the tensioner replaced. But, all that repair spans 10 years of ownership and some was voluntary. With the original cost of the vehicle and repairs, it's been a little under a grand a year to run.

Even with the repairs, no joke, couldn't ask for a better vehicle. It's done everything asked and more.

Artistically, it's kinda cool. I don't know how much work you did on it but it doesn't scream noob. Personally, I don't like it. There's nothing that appeals to me but, you made it for you and if you like it, that's what matters.
