cotton, lol. Um...

- Headphones are recabled Beyerdynamic DT770/80. I think I paid $150-ish.
- The apple was pretty damn good, I think it was the best one of the batch I picked up. Crisp and juicy.
- The box would be a Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 DAC/Amp unit. My "review".
- I do not have a PS3. Without getting into a heated debate, I think consoles are a waste of money. That is a PS2 controller from my old PS2 that I had a while back. It is connected to my computer via an adapter that I had to rewire not long ago. Here's a picture: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/464376/headshot/DSC07084.JPG IMO, it's hard to beat. I've seen and used various PC gamepads and it's tough to beat a Sony Dualshock.

I played around anyway since I was bored. Here's what I came up with:

I can't change the style. Size, location, color and orientation, sure. Who knows when Delta will be back and have enough time to do it though :)

The letter style can't be changed without someone like Delta. I can move them wherever and add whatever. The shadows should be a bit more accurate in whatever I made, for some reason they bugged out in that screenshot.

Chances are, whatever I did would end up like this:

If you want me to go for it, I will.

Today the airplane sprayer sprayed a field close to me and the way he turned around to make another pass, he banked right over the house. There were several shots I liked but this one seems to capture it the most:

I have letters in UnrealEd courtesy of Delta. Maybe I should steal his potential $5...

I don't need it but there are times where it would help productivity. Usually I have Chrome maximized on 1 monitor and chat, folders, widgets and stuff on the other monitor. I've been converting some videos lately and having a 3rd would help. Mostly this is for proper integration of SoftTH in games. I have used 3 monitors for that but it was far from ideal, having a 15" rotated so it's 768x1024 and then using a less than native resolution on the other 2 monitors, it just didn't look good and was too much of a hassle. Now with 3 all the same physical size as well as all the same resolution will overcome some of the challenges.

My desk is an awesome blank canvas; it's made out of particleboard. In it's stock form particleboard furniture sucks. But it can do great things when you add woodglue, misc bits of wood and deck screws. Mine easily supports all this weight but when I moved out here, it sat in storage with a bunch of stuff on it. Long story short, it sagged ever so slightly. To combat this, I've added 1-2 layers of foam tape on the underside of my monitors to make them level again. With some inginunity and basic materials, you can turn a particleboard desk into something that suits your needs and has more function than any pre-built desk. Wait till I post final pictures of my setup including snapshots of my epic wire management under the desk :P

I see no borders, no walls, no colors.

Wow, for once, a Windows user that's actually changed things other than the background. I mean, AJ did a little bit but it's funny to see everyone leave the normal things pinned to the start bar as well as the notification area items, not to mention the tons of desktop icons. Congrats cotton, it looks good.

Today and yesterday I spent a little time outside looking at the local flowers and watching the honey bees do their thing. I caught a moment:
