Spanky might have to buy a game.  :o

GTFO, it wouldn't be the first time. I don't see it on Steam as a standalone, not that I'd dick with Steam anyway.

Well, I'm still unsure and have made 0 progress. The torrent I downloaded doesn't have the editor, unless the exe uses a switch but I've only ever seen that on UE3 games. I just tried -editor and that resulted in nothing. So for those that want to pirate to see, don't download "killing floor 1011 Full Game Nosteam (online) madwiggyNLD". Waste of time and bandwidth.

O.O I assumed it was free.

No. That's why I said I pirated it to see if it was worthwhile.

I'll grab the game and check out the editor and see what I can contribute to this new project.

Does everyone realize the game costs $20?

It seems fully customizable, just like UT. People adding mutators and shit.

Blue, are you interested enough to check it out? I have a sneaking suspicion that you already have it and have been mapping for a few months since you always seem to be silently ahead of everyone  :P

Sounds like fun but playing against zombies is kinda boring to me; those arn't really the games the I play :P

Same here. I quit Left 4 Dead and didn't finish it. Apparently in Killing Floor, you can add AI soldiers... There's also mods and stuff that I haven't checked out. Seems like UT, Left 4 Dead and AA mixed together.

A memorable quote was "I wanna be the Spanky of Killing Floor".

lol I gotta map for Killing Floor now and take that title out of his reach. I'll be honest and say I'm pirating the game. From what I understand there's single player somewhat and I'll at least be able to use the editor and see how things are done. I'll also say that I'm not hugely excited or anxious, just looking at this point. I'll probably start with converting Pipeline but that may take a hell of a long time. 2.8 to 2.5 took days full of hard work, there's no AA textures, models or sounds in Killing Floor so... It'll be a full out port which means a lot of work to be done properly.

One thing I don't know how to handle... WTF to do for a site? Sub-forum here? Adapt mAAp and buy a new domain? Or just use the Killing Floor forums?

That's the thing Dann, different engines do things differently. Yea, I know textures and shit on AA but that's different than 3DSMAX and any other engine. To give you an example, I have failed both in using 3DSMAX and Blender. Game engine skills just don't transfer well with me.

Perhaps another UE game?

I wonder if Killing Floor is all it's cracked up (by Crunk) to be.

lol sexual action :P I'll tell you what I think, I have a hard time doing it seriously (spending more time on it than I do) for the following reasons:

Not getting paid (start writing them checks Dann...)
Absolutely no chance of people playing it seriously.
It's old. I love the engine but... it's just old. More and more I realize Pipeline is limited by the engine, it's poor coding that gives low FPS, not low-spec computer hardware.

Since I've shipped stuff to both of you guys, would you guys mind leaving HeatWare feedback for me?

I understand if you don't want to, it's a lame site but some people swear by it and require it so I figured it wouldn't hurt to have a few under my belt.

Bah, I should have posted sooner then =\ This would be a REALLY nice extension cable though, probably better than the one you bought :)
