I found it the same with f1 and DiRT 2, my $2 game pad was much easier to use on dirt 2 and the wheel is better on f1. I think it is due to needing to do twitchy moves with the controller on dirt 2 vs the nice smooth turns in f1.

Yea, F1 was freaking impossible on a gamepad but with about 5 tries, I got first place on a 5 lap track with the wheel. I'd agree that it's the higher precision and more movement that gives better accuracy. I'm working on DiRT2, I turned down the force feedback which I think is causing some trouble, pulling the wheel too much in a drift kinda maneuver. Turning the steering wheel fast with precision is key, I noticed that while watching some in-car videos of Ken Block and whatnot.

All songs except When The Tigers Broke Free, which wasn't included on the cassette version I listened to countless times when I was younger.

Isn't that funny how that works? :P

I'll surprise you. I really haven't thought about it. I seem to get the feeling that people listen to music a helluva lot more than I do. I had some classical guitar going the other day as background music for my workbench and before that, I couldn't tell you the last time I had opened Foobar.

Anyway, back to Pink Floyd. Songs I happen to fancy (In no order, but I do prefer these albums if I'm going to listen to Pink Floyd):

Pigs on the Wing - Animals
Brain Damage (Out Takes) - DSOTM Studio Demo
Us and Them - DSOTM (Japanese Pressing)
In The Flesh - The Wall (2nd Disc, C2K 36183 CD)

No clutch. I did try shifting with the paddle shifters but IMO it's too much to learn and get used to so it's automatic transmission for now. I gotta say, I love the gas and brake pedals. It's nice to finally have more than on/off gas and brake. Plus the brake is harder to push like in a real car.

I got my Momo racing setup today. It's pretty impressive, I like the attention to detail. Game compatability is great too. I'm having a hard time adjusting to the wheel, turning the wheel 270 degrees instead of a thumbstick moving an inch is quite a difference. Oddly enough, on F1 2010 it's easier to use the wheel than the gamepad but on DiRT 2 it's easier to use the gamepad than the wheel. More practice is needed for sure but for $34, I'm very pleased.

1,300 downloads so far...

I'm amazed. There's gotta be people downloading it several times.

Fuck that.

Not sure what you meant by that. I'll be the first to admit that I flat out suck at the game. I'm still on DiRT2 mode and can't help but cutting corners and ramming into people. That combined with the higher speed and need for more precision than what I can get out of my gamepad (over-sensitive thumbstick analog steering and on/off brake & gas), it's just... not going good. I try hard to just stay with the pack but I end up getting lapped by the AI. I'm sure this will change when I get my wheel and if not, I can always uninstall :P

I sense a dann - killa style argument approaching.

Nah. Not living in the city, I don't run across many skateboarders so I don't really care. If I was passionate about my POV on this topic, I'd buy a couple of 1" dowels at the local hardware store, cut them in 1 foot sections then toss them in front of skateboarders that were discourteous.
