The game wouldn't be overly action packed or a run n' gun shooter so nobody would buy it.

If EA put as much time into this as they did MOHA, it could be pretty good.

It's all about watching vs doing. Killaman likes to watch football. Knight likes to do skateboarding.

Plus a bunch of grown men playing with their balls doesn't really do it for me, you know?

I was going to make a comment like this. IMO, if you're soooo into football, why not just play it instead of watching other people play?

I want some thing INNOVATIVE!

I think Medal of Honor is innovative as far as being an authentic recreation whereas CoD is just fantasy. I still have hope that it will pick up and the story will improve.

It's actually an ok game. I don't feel the over-dramatization that CoD seems to have but I did think at one point "this is just like every other shooter". We'll see, I'll get screenshots and a better opinion when I play some more.

*EDIT*
I forgot to mention that unlike CoD6, Medal of Honor plays very well with wide & weird resolutions such as those with triple-head.

You missed my point.

Nah, I just ignored it.

Game Reviews / Medal of Honor [2010] [47MB of Screenshots!]
« on: Friday, October 29, 2010, 15:11:09 PM »
I'll put some screenshots up in a bit but I just wanted to say a few things. I'm somewhat disappointed in the game. Medal of Honor Airborne gave me goosebumps and I was hoping that with a new engine, better graphics and a desire to live up to the name would easily out-pace MOHA, I'm not seeing that so far. Granted, I'm barely into it but these kinda games need to start with a bang. Pretty much it starts with stuff you've seen in YouTube trailers and then goes to an Afghanistan version of the battle on CoD6 that takes place in Columbia (with all the ghetto houses and whatnot). Then, the next "map" was, you guessed it, an airport junkyard. Again, just like CoD6. I'm not saying they copied it or did that on purpose but if I were a developer, I would be sure to stay far away from anything that's been done before. I really hope that the game picks up soon and has a long lasting single player campaign.

New Stuff:

Update - I am enjoying the game more. I'm noticing more and more that the animations are superb. I'm liking the gameplay and difficulty. The variety of weapons makes it interesting. Each weapon seems to have quite a noticeable difference in terms of accuracy which tells me they're more realistic. Instead of thinking "there's nothing that sets this game apart", now I'm thinking "I wish there was more of a deeper story". I did finally get goosebumps, when I hit this scene:

That whole cutscene lasts easily 3x as long and after the RPG hits, you're pretty much running for cover into a dry river bed with gunfire coming from all around.

And how many football games have you been to? I just want to know how you formed your statement.

I hate it when you say this so I came up with a little similar test.
Killaman, I'm assuming you would call yourself straight (sexually). But how do you know if you haven't fucked and/or been fucked by a guy?

It's the same thing really. You don't have to go to a football game to know you won't enjoy it. You don't have to waste time trying something just to find out if you'll like it or not.

Facebook pisses me off most of the time. Recently people have been making their profile pictures pink to "raise awareness" for breast cancer. It annoys me because they think it is actually doing something. So I posted this

I didn't turn my profile picture pink to support breast cancer detection, instead, I donated
some actual money to the cause because I actually want to do something. Make yours at

+1 internetz. Great post.

I could agree with your last sentence Dann. I only use Twitter so people can go there and see what I'm up to IF they're interested. I try not to shove my life down someone else's throat but apparently there are people who genuinely care out there so my Twitter is for them. Also, it serves as a pretty decent archive for myself.

Yea, you've said that before. I just... what happened to e-mail? If you're going to just keep in touch with someone, I don't see how e-mail isn't enough. IM'ing with someone... go on a major chat network. Things like Myspace and Facebook just add an extra middleman.
