Full load of what? If that's Linpack then I'd shit bricks but if that's folding or Prime95... eh, seems kinda average if you have good cooling. With that said, I know approximately jack shit about AMD cpu's other than a couple things about the one in my server...

Anyway, I think my temperature readings are more messed up than yours.

A modern CPU idling at 1GHz with 17C temps? I don't see anything wrong.

26F is -3.3333333333333335C

That weather widget updates every hour. It's possible it was actually colder (it usually is colder than it says) but also I had the fan on high so count in an artificial wind chill. Not to mention that the laptop was sitting on the hood of our car (metal). Also, CPU temps aren't 100% accurate, they're just a general guide for the thermal shutdown.

-7C is 19F

I have no reason to fake this...

OCCT is a all-in-one stress test. Run the GPU test and the CUDA memory test too. If I were you, I would whip out Task Manager and GPU-Z to see loads and determine if your CPU is holding you back or something.

Its possible with a telescope and camera mount. Pretty much you turn the telescope into a HUGE lens. But it costs a lot.

I think he meant the firmware. </successful hijack>

Games & Programming / Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days - Screenshots and First Impression
« on: Friday, November 26, 2010, 22:59:38 PM »
Menu:

First Cutscene:

Firefight in electronics store:

I've had this game for a while and just now got around to installing it. I'm glad I did. First impressions are that this game is going to be fun and unique. The game starts with a unique menu and a warning:
Quote
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is a work of fiction and it is not intended to offend ratial, religious or political sensibilities. Any resemblance to real persons (living or dead) or evens is coincidental and unintentional.
You know when a game has a warning like that, there's going to be some good times ahead. So far it seems like the game is focused more around the 3rd person in a somewhat budget video camera mode that seems to be telling a story that happened but you get to play it. What do I mean by this? I mean that the lighting is overexposed and hazed intentionally and there is a lot of blur use. But also, on graphic parts, it's pixeled out. Example; there was a naked woman and she was pixeled out. I also shot a civilian in the head and that got pixeled out. It's quite interesting really.

The game runs great on full setting and right now the only complaints I have are that I can't get triple-wide to work and playing on 1 monitor fullscreen, the other monitors go black. I have no real complaints about the game yet but I have about 10 minutes experience.

More to come...

Very eye catching, good way to advertise. Stupid question; did you design it and have it printed somewhere?

Suggestions:
Don't steal my idea.
Shoot a video of you disassembling your computer, neatly packing it up and mailing it to me. Preferably at your expense and while crying heavily.

Do you have hope for the future in terms of humanity not fucking itself over while you're still alive?
How do we know the center of the earth is super hot and way molten? I realize there's volcanoes but... 10k degrees in the center?

obvious hacks are obvious

I was outside. Look at the weather temps then think again.
