The funny thing about me getting that quoted was that I was in Calc class when I did it
I actually got a email this morning from a magazine out of the UK about publishing some of my works.
if UW-Madison rejects me I have no backup plan whatsoever and I don't know what I'm going to do.
One thing i asked myself is when figuring out what i wanted to do in my life was... "If money was as common as air, what would I like to be doing." IMO, i would rather do something I love to do and make some money, than do something I hate for a outstanding paycheck. I started wanting to set up computer networks for companies, and I realized that doing design and programming is what made me happy, it was a daily test of how smart I was, problem solving and just having fun. With this, I found a community of people that where fun, at my office, we play darts, drink beer and whiskey we go outside and play soccer in the middle of the day. It makes a difference if you want to go to work, or if you dread work. Do something for you, not anyone else, not the paycheck, not the parents, but for you.
You aren't just a computer engineer. You're something more.
Good thing you do not need to be an intellectual or intelligent to be just a computer engineer...
Computers is a huge field with a lot of different career opportunities. I knew I wanted to do one of them, I just didn't know which one.
Spanky, I know what I like, I just don't know what to do for a career.Ideally, wouldn't it be the same thing?
I also want to know how you associate a career choice with someone's maturity.I didn't say that career choice is indicative of maturity. I said and meant that knowing what you like/want to do with your life is part of maturity.
It really sucks not really knowing what you want to do
