Maybe you missed the part when Soul said I only mean on bridge. Apart from that Def is always easier no matter what weapons you have. Tracker is a load on garbage loads of 100 H campers out there, that dont truly reflect 100 H I am 42 and beat most 80 H players tracked is a waste of time and is not a true relfection of a player.
Some player done there med training and might be mad that assist gave it to every one and his dog. So a far as I am concerned you honour aint worth nothing.

I don't remember if the medic training had some "tough" prerequisite training to go through before, but that training was dead simple (the SF training was a completely different matter). And about the honor, yeah, honor is not that meaningful, stats are just numbers, and wheels are usually rounded. What else?

You have writen that game is protected with Agrement with Epic Games.
There are two posibilities you are layer or moron.

Your work is in Public Domain and should be published on reqest. Even if there is some agrement with epic games it protets engine source, wchich you probably didnt get. If rely there is something in agrement it is inlegal due to US COpryght law bla balba somehing.

So please don't be moron share the game.

I genuinely think they will have a good laugh.

The biggest battle would be integrating it into Assist. If you can figure out how to add IRC to a RealBasic project, that might be a way to go. Maybe.

The shoutbox will not be removed, it is more of an asset than a negative. It can be moderated (users banned and shouts deleted) but the issue is that it's NOT being moderated. I've mentioned privately that an option would be to setup a better moderator team on AAO25 and set the shoutbox to be managed by moderators, not just admins.

Is there something you can do to censor foul language? (i know, people will make up odd alternatives, but still)

Why did I get banned from the shout box. Who banned me. And how many others were banned?

Oh god! It's a conspiracy!

I swear the Illuminati took over and shat your freedom of speech. I also blame Spanky xD .

Jokes aside, it's probably temporary.

A lot of people just use Teamspeak nowadays.

And PLEASE, remove the shoutbox/Assist chat. It is only drama. If players have problems with a server, they need to email the server admin instead of posting here.
From the stats Eliz posted yesterday, everyone can see that Assist is getting new/returning players, however in my humble opinion, once they see all the crap on shoutbox/Assist chat, they are being turned off..

That is perfectly right but i find the shoutbox to be just showing which kind of people play the game right now. So the issue would still be with the people (like the ones who managed to get banned on AA2, on AAPG servers and even on some clan forums due to their utterly awesome behavior *coughwolfcough*)

Feedback & Suggestions / Re: Alternatives to Steam

Desura is pretty good (as it started as an indipendent platform linked to Moddb), Moddb has been the place where most people used to upload mods and such (nowadays with, e.g. Nexus it's a different story), Greenmangaming sells games (with different drm's) and it has a sort platform of its own but surely not a community such as Desura's.

Havent been on here for a long time.
Just redownloading the game and wanted to post the Steam idea as well.

I am not surprised they don't want to restart AA2. Part of me thinks that the Army was not happy when they had to deal with million of players back in the day. Not only that, but adding AA2 back online would basically shut down AA3 and Proving grounds.

And now, instead of players being on AA2, they are going to Insurgency and for the record, Insurgency has more players than Proving Grounds

America's Army 2 and Proving Grounds are two really different games. I wouldn't complain if they were to shut down AA3 anyway (i can see no shortcoming in shutting down a game that had most of its content "coming soon" from release until now).

Besides -> http://web.archive.org/web/20050316051635/http://dukenukem.typepad.com/game_matters/2005/03/americas_army_b.html

Insurgency is an interesting game, and i was really interested about the cooperative part, but at release the AI was quite slow and really not good for a fight, they tried to "tweak" it but it ended up being godlike, from what i remember (with the 2014 update).

This was the first forum I had with Jared:

:D "Aimbot Assassins" and under that, "what is an army without honor?"

Btw i can't believe the amount of official/3rd party websites and forums that disappeared with the US Army shutting down AA2 related services. They even shat down the Mission Depot which had a huge amount of missions available for the game :( ...

Your best bet for Cooperative gameplay is to go for one of the 2.8.5 servers tracked by Chevy's at http://chevys-place.nl/ . I think some people as Axelaxi and Woody still play.

Imho (just imho) you should rather work on modding an already existing game instead of creating a new one. Besides, as Eliz said there's AAPG (which comes with a version of the Unreal 3 editor), which will be released in its -hopefully- complete version in a few months (they said "spring 2015). Also, there's Ground Branch which has been in development for a few years by now ( http://www.groundbranch.com/ )
