How did you get your panorama stitch not to have that "round" effect?

Microsoft ICE. Bottom left, there's 4 settings depending on the kind of motion. The program accounts for the bending, it warps, twists, and aligns all the images.

That last TF2 one is what I'm talkin about :) It's not just the character that pops out. The first TF2 one sucks, you didn't spend much time erasing the barrel area.

I don't really care about process or anything, I'm just talking about the end result. It's a square box with a character and some fancy stuff surrounding them all blended together. Make something popping, make the character pop out, make a transparent background. Example on your stalker sig (since that's the one I can see while typing this) it would look even more pwn with the character larger than the square and the sky missing.

I doubt any of my nonsense makes sense though.

Hardware/Software / Re: Laptop

Newer (within the last 2-3 years as you said) HP items may very well be crap. All the older HP stuff I've had (AMD single-core laptop, printers & scanners) seemed to work exactly as needed. But I've got a newer HP printer (the one I posted in the deals thread) and it's just a lemon, nothing but bad reviews on Amazon. Also I read on the HP forums that someone had problems with a HP plasma TV and HP wanted like $600 to repair while a 3rd party company wanted about $180 to do the same exact thing. The $600 bill was only mentioned after harassing support several times. This unfortunately wasn't an isolated case, it became one of the more popular threads on the HP forum with dozens of others complaining as well. Last I read, they were wanting to start a class-action suit.

My technology desires tend to hang back several generations. I have absolutely no complains about Dell. Every Dell computer I've worked on has been a pleasure and my Dell laptop runs great.

IMO, they're all starting to blend together. Your style has lost appeal. Every piece seems to be the same process just with a different subject and different colors.

With that said, they still look good. I couldn't create things like that.

mans was telling me he'd gift it to spanky seeing as i already bought spanky a game and mans has way heaps of money

I was gonna stay silent on this issue since I didn't want to threadcrap. Here's my personal thoughts:
- I'm not into zombie games. Left 4 Dead just got boring to me, I never finished the first one.
- The engine is the same as AA 2.5 but being a different game, it has different functions (actors) as well as I believe it's a newer version of the engine build. This means that feature-wise it's still going to be somewhat limited as AA but maybe not as limited. It can be a seamless transfer from AA but having never played the game myself (only torrenting the editor then later deleting it) I have no idea what anything the dev's coded does and have no real desire to learn.
- I'm happy to offer my experience, knowledge and tools (even my half-coverted pipeline) to anyone that wants to pursue mapping on Killing Floor.

Rodger is going to start profiting from Headshot's content. I think a financial negotiation is in order.
