And of course there is a catch.

You must get on your knees to accept it.

I'm not talking about the game either.

Floor speakers are harder to drive, they generally need more watts. Bookshelves are typically for near-field and "quiet" listening.

Thank you for the kind words.

How was the read, liked it?

That's actually what I was talking about first. I read the text portion first and felt more connected with the more I read then I stared at the artwork and it just all came together on a basic emotional level.

Dann, I don't wanna change the subject of this thread but do you still have interest in that site I setup?

There's usually a single RCA line-out for subs on most receivers. Obviously you'll have to research first and see what types of connections are used but I believe that's generally the way things go. If you're wanting to DIY, there's things called T-Amps which I think are portable speaker amps that are like the altoids ones. Might be something to look into, there's all kinds of budget DIY amps on Head-Fi.

Damn Dropbox must be broken. Yea, I think that's what they were aiming for. I really like it. There's SOOO many gadgets and stuff they added. It's like the BEST Rainmeter skin I've seen.

Since I plan on getting a new computer, that means a new install of Windows 7 so I've been playing around with new configurations and tweaks to see about getting a new look for everything. Here's what I've come up with so far:

are the speakers magneticly shielded?

I think Blue has a LCD for a monitor so it doesn't matter if they're shielded or not.

While I'm not one for aesthetics and partially agree with Vik, stuff hanging on your wall breaks up an otherwise mundane surface. I have plenty of shit hanging on my walls (not just posters, ink cartridges too :P) and it is far from boring/plain.

Back to the original topic, I might take pictures of mine but I put a video on YouTube not too long ago showing my messy room. It's cleaned up quite a bit since but at least you can see:

Looks like some good budget speakers. My setup is more complicated than that (see bottom of this post if you care). Basically to do things RIGHT you would need to get yourself some kind of amp. Quite often people recommend going to Goodwill or looking on Craigslist for a used receiver. This will do the job and give you more power than you could ever want. Connecting them to a line output on your computer, you won't get much volume and you may actually be damaging the speakers by not pushing enough power through. I mean, it can be done and I have done it before but if you care about your speakers AT ALL, don't do it.

My setup:
USB > Teralink X2 transport > Coaxial > TubeMagic D1 (only the DAC is used) > RCA cables > TubeMagic A1 > Speakers

This is one of your pieces of work (possibly one of only 2) that speaks to me in a way that I can understand and relate to. The graphic is amazing, truly. The attention to detail and shadows is quite good. It's a piece that I can stare at for a while, slowly enjoying it more and noticing more aspects of it.

Good job.

Frankly, I'm impressed. Seems like it would take a lot of work to put that together.
