Workgroup doesn't matter anymore. I'm pretty sure mine aren't the same yet they can still share networked folders. Common problem is that the computer you're sharing files on needs to have a user account with a password (so the other computers can login).

i spent about 360 $ for it.

That's more than I paid for my phone AND my laptop combined. Way more, I didn't even spend a third of that.

I wanna laugh but I can't because it's obviously fake. Not because of the content but because you have to understand how they make captchas. One word is scanned from a book and the other is computer generated, this would mean that only 1 word would ever have the black circle.

combined with this:

Use this to turn the remote computers HD's into HD's you can see in my computer. Something like that.

Map network drive. I wasn't going to get into this but if he didn't like Dropbox, I would google for a tutorial on how to do it.

Thanks :) It was pretty random and I was in a bad mood but perseverance pays off! The more I look at it, the happier I am with it :)

Hardware/Software / DDR RAM, 5-Port 10/100 Switch, IDE CD/DVD Drives, Cables
« on: Monday, May 16, 2011, 21:21:41 PM »
I got piles of DDR RAM, varying from 128-512MB, a decent Netgear 10/100 switch, a dozen IDE CD/DVD drives (some burners) and power, ethernet and USB cables. If I made a couple bucks after shipping that would be cool with me. I would just like to see some of this stuff go to someone that can use it. If you're interested, let me know.

*EDIT*
Or perhaps the basic parts for a server? I have a motherboard with 2x256MB of RAM and a AMD 1700+ chip on it. I'll let it go on the cheap.
