I installed it a while back again. I think Jonny forgot some files to move over in Assist for playing on mAAp. Mainly tours.ini that allows you to have the proper training. I also think briefings are missing too.

I was gonna go monoprice but I didn't want 50 feet. The sleeving/jacket on this wire is thick as can be and it's as flexible as a wet noodle. I really like this cable.

I got a desire to make them so I researched and ordered the parts recently. I picked them up today and got to work. After about an hour and a half of labor, I finished one:

That's 12AWG OFC with techflex and gold-plated banana plugs. I'm impressed. Here's the parts list which cost about $35 with discounted shipping:

Does it come with a remote or do you have to get off your butt and change the volume?

Skrewy, knock it off, you obviously know the mans location and his race as well.

Dan, I gotta give respect for doing politically inspired art.

What laws did you break? I don't really feel much towards the last piece, probably because it is political.

Just to toss this out there, I didn't pick up one of these. I found a nice "vintage" Sony ES amp from the 90's for like $175 shipped. It's a really solid unit, TA-N55ES I think it is.

Yea, it's a good idea. If you are looking for a sound device, try to find one with the Tenor USB chip. It's a fantastic cross-platform driverless device. 24-Bit and 96KHz output. A good little intro basic unit would be one of the popular NuForce products. If you're patient you might find a used one on Head-Fi. Aside from that there's ones like the EMU 4040 or something.

Yea, definitely. I think USB is a future-proof way to go seeing that there's less and less PCI slots on motherboards (some don't even have any). It really depends on the computer though. Grounding issues can introduce noise, so can certain hardware devices. There's just endless combinations that can cause problems. However, someone thought ahead and fixed that. There's devices like this:
http://electronicsshop.dk/isoleret_usb.htm

Although, I don't remember it being $48... Might wanna look around. They do exist and they're pretty common so it shouldn't be too hard to find one. I think it also depends on the sound card too though. Like on my D1 DAC, I can hear my mouse but on the same USB port, it's silent using my Teralink X2 USB to SPDIF converter.

I would say go for a USB device and if you have issues, look for one of those isolation devices.

I very much like the money piece. It's like Christ the Redeemer but modernized for today's greedy and money hungry society.
